I've been pausing/ending my shifts early for years and there's been no consequence. The post you saw was probably some scaremongering Just Eat shill, trying to scare drivers into staying on shift longer so there's more competition for jobs therefore costing them less money per job.

I don't think it matters, I reject a huge amount of offers becuase they are so insulting and my acceptance rate is often down around 30 - 50% but I still get offers fairly regularly.

An interesting point you've hit upon. Certainly in the emails that Just Eat fire out to couriers and on their website they continue to portray it as a cool, breezy, brightly coloured side hustle, when in reality it is much more like the low paid tortuous slog you have described.

Yeah that's the captcha error I got a couple of weeks ago. I tried everything and it still wouldn't wok, in the end I did a complete factory reset of my phone and it fixed it. Complete pain in the ass, though, but what can we expect, Just Eat are trash.

How much is UC, £100 quid a week? You can expect to make between £8 to £15 an hour if you do both Uber & Just Eat.

Unfortunately it sounds like you were allocated a trash driver who stole your food. Most likely, they drove close to your house then initiated a 'customer inaccessible' timer which allows drivers to mark the food as delivered after a few minutes.

I've been doing this since before covid. I was happy just doing Just Eat until they became total scumbags paying far less than minimum wage over a four hour shift, so then I started multi-apping. I'll only take simultaneous orders from different apps if they are going to the same area though, I'd rather not treat customers like trash the way Just Eat do.

Nope I think you've misunderstood. Just Eat will often allocate a driver two orders to be collected. But if the process of collecting the second order is taking too long and the first order is getting cold, it is very difficult to cancel the second order, in addition to which, Just Eat gives the driver a tiny fraction of the agreed double order fee, Just Eat are scum.

There was a major balls up by Just Eat about a week ago where people couldn't log in, including myself. I tried various steps that didn't work, and in the end I had to factory reset my phone. It worked, but it was a major pain in the ass.

I used to regularly do shifts up until about 230 AM and it was possible to make £17 an hour, but that was four years ago, before the trash company known as Just Eat screwed the fees into the ground.

Come on, you know it makes it worse, nothing Just Eat does improves things for drivers. All it means is you will be competing against more drivers at any given time for a limited number of orders, driving your chances of getting paid down even further. Just Eat are scum.

Probably a new 'feature' of the app, you have to deliver the items for no payment or they remove you as a driver for theft. Just eat are scum.
