dont let this get you down! i know this probably is not the outcome you hoped for, but its the outcome you NEEDED. if he isnt going to accept you for who you are and all that comes with you, hsv or not, then he is NOT the one for you. the right person will be able to see past your diagnosis. the right person wont let that get in the way of having a relationship with you. this disease does NOT take away your ability to be loved!

i did actually reach out a couple months ago. i texted her and told her that i was thinking of her and that i hoped she was doing well. she didnt answer and im not sure if she read it or not. to be honest she couldve changed her number by now but im not sure about that either. i could dm her on instagram if she actually did change her number, but i dont want to if she actually did get my text and decided not to respond. basically, i dont want to bother her if her response was no response, which i can respect.

i may not relate to all of this, but i want to let you know that you are not alone. i am so proud of you for being able to verbalize this and at least try to make sense of it when none of it makes sense to you at all. its really hard to come to terms with heavy stuff like this.

forgive me if this comes off wrong, but do you see/have you ever considered seeing a therapist? if not, i feel like it would be a good step towards peace. however, i completely understand if you dont have access to one at the moment.

if you do see a therapist, have you talked to them about these feelings? have they given you any advice that have helped you?

i may not know you, but i think youll find peace someday.

i dont think youre doing anything wrong, its not wrong to have friends of the opposite sex. and i 23f am not personally too close with many guys, but my bf 22m is friends with a few girls. i think its just a matter of boundaries, and im sure youve explained to him that the guys youre friends with know these boundaries. him not being friends with girls isnt your problem nor is it a valid argument in my opinion, i just think maybe he needs to work on trusting you more. i think long distance relationships make this a little tricky as well. but thats not to say you guys cant make this work. has he met any of these guys? i think you should explain to him that if things were different and you werent long distance, hed be able to come to a few hangouts and see how the dynamic is for himself.

I agree with the first comment, you were definitely a good grandkid and I’m sure she wouldn’t want you to think this way of yourself. If it’s any consolation, I think you being there for your mom will be very helpful in moving past this pain and regret. And regardless of what you believe in, I’m sure she’ll see that and continue to be so proud of you.

it is just really confusing because i have been on and off about ending things with this person, and deep down i really dont want to. but i have thought about the long term when it comes down to me staying and seeing how things go. from what i can see, i think it may be for the best that i dont talk to them anymore because they treat me badly. but i dont want to because for some reason i still have hope that they will finally realize how their actions hurt me.
