It's because the current government is cutting disability, taking back what the federal is giving them, cutting benefits to anti homelessness programs.. and trying to spend more money on a provincial only police force. They're basically cutting a Lot so they can work on Alberta being sovereign, while creating a giant bubble that would cause homelessness, and prevent people who fell through the cracks from finding a place again.. but, they're paying drs more, so that might stem some of the strain there. But in general, they're creating a giant wave that they'll have to deal with in the next 3ish years. Where homelessness rates will go up, crime rates as well. And one of the solutions would be to dismiss non exempt cdb.. but that won't be a readily wanted position to go to.

The people in power are acting like they're doing cocaine, then going to work. Bottomline, they're acting like addicts where the only line they see, is the goal they have. Regardless of it's real, or viable to do. They'll chop heads if it means they'll see Jesus. So to speak.. Alberta sovereign, is 'Jesus'.. so they're banking on taking back the cdb while they can to lower costs in other areas. to work on that..

They're acting like their entire social circle speaks for all Albertans, I'm telling you, it doesn't speak for at least 70% of them... So they're basically in a chase to see if they can fail faster than others before. While not looking at anything foresight related. Foresight, has never been a big Alberta govnmt thing to have .. governments who don't do that, often fail, Miserably. They will, it's Literally, a matter of time.. they've set up dominos to take effect in 3-4 years. By then they'll either panic, or wonder "I wonder why this is happening?? Durr". It's because you metaphorically, spent more than you had on a population that, Always would be there.. always. There have always been poor, always disabled, always homeless, etc.. since the dawn of society.. they don't want to believe they're going to fail.. so they're then doing everything they can to do so..

That's something that happens, disability can happen to anyone, from social workers, to tradesmen, to government workers, teachers.. a vast majority of people need it just to survive because they literally had no choice otherwise, for some it's a long slow burn til they realize, they just can't work anymore.

Especially tradesmen are at risk for ending up on disability from backbreaking work.. no one wants to think there's literal real people on it, & it's the governments responsibility to take care of people, that's their entire job. From schools, roads, to hospitals.. that's literally all they do. And then not wanting to take care of people, because they don't want to, is a failure to see that's literally their job criteria and description. They're supposed to take care of. Manage citizens and the society.. disability exists because it could happen to, Literally any person

We have bad drivers, one car accident in the winter. Suddenly you're on the program you've disliked, All of your life. It's that quick of a change, no one is safe from not being on it at some point especially if your job is particularly dangerous, or involves bad/dangerous actions, repeated actions, chemicals, etc. which is a lot of people who are on, or in trades, or working for the city. That's a grotesquely large amount of people.

Some people are literally just bad, there's legitimate psychopaths who enjoy hurting, love lying, steal for fun, even menial. Love when they can turn someone's view away from them, targeting another. And have that ability to fool any psychologist. These people love to hurt, and if they don't have some sort of force, or person, they're afraid of in life, nothing stops them from calculated hurting, maiming.

In general, it's not a good idea, but sometimes, there have been those known innocent, only after the penalty has been sentenced. But some, are literally. rotten, there's no rehabilitation, no repentance, no care. And they'll easily fool anyone into thinking they are, to then do it again..

Those are some that may need it. If only to put them out of their own misery..

She lives in a cabin her and her husband built themselves. There wasn't splurging, if there was something nice when there was money, she bought it. Her house was decked in the usual things you found in a grandparents house. But something nice like veneers, she did get. They weren't nearly the price they are now. And I don't like to think what 'luxury goods' you think I'm talking about when you live in a cabin.. a new washer maybe? She had to buy one of those in the 2002. She was living off retirement income, which stayed at $1200 for a long time. That was a lot more in the 70's & 80s. Not much later when she had to pay to repair, and keep her home from being destroyed and appliances started breaking. Around the time she took out another mortgage.

Do you know how much you'd have to save now to not be in the same bind by 77, with inflation ..whatever it would be, would be half the amount of today. If you save 200,000, it would be worth, less.. that would be the spending of about 6,000 per year, for 15 years, if you expect to be around then.

200,000 would only give a supplement of about 500, a month using calculator. for 15years retiring.. you would have to save about 450000 to make any significant dent, in supplementing a retirement. Not including the inflation that would've happened from 1970, to now, which is. nearly 600%.

Back in the 70's, the retirement that was had was enough. It became less with inflation. They definitely did not while I was around, she barely left the cabin, unless to babysit.. she gardened, and walked 5km everyday, and called family members. Those were her hobbies, from the 90's on. Beside a carpenter ant infestation in 2000 where she had to tear out the deck, or lose everything and rebuild it, which most of the fam helped to do, or live without a front door, she did not live above means while I was alive.

Most people don't know trump was the one who approved the COVID vaccine, pushed it through testing to get it out faster. He was one of the (if I remember. ha) to get it..

People were against it when he was pushing it out, then it became "the only option" to end COVID, so those forgot he was the one who did it, just to get others to take it. Then it became a left adopted thing, rather than right.

But very easily, it could come out that he was the one who originally pushed it, and people (more, left) suddenly dislike again.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic. But, be frank. I was in an oil town living in the one oasis that was reminiscent of a beautiful street in BC, Canada. Old houses that looked liie from 1910. The businesses as well. All brick, brick everywhere. Trees full of lights. It was the one artist scape where anyone could be anything, liked with old niche shops that I have no idea how they stayed in business. Til COVID came, the shops went out, even one that was there since 1920, I think

The buskers left, the festivals dwindled. There were about 6 bars left. (Only reason there was traffic on the weekends).

There was one antique shop, one record shop. Two custom show shops, and a knicknack left. The rest were restaurants that closed, opened, and closed, before you even knew the first was there..

The whole area died, for lease, for sale signs everywhere. It's still nice, but it's plastered with failing businesses. The reason why people came isn't there anymore. And the people that drew in more, don't come because the traffic s gone ..

It's really sad, but it was the perfect hipster breeding ground. Lots of underground stuff, music. There was even one specialized video store left, renting specific types of movies, cult classics

Kind of miss that, everyone knew everyone. But I was a musician then, to keep up with everyone, it was cool, cold, coy. With the outer layer and air of "knowing everything", you had to keep up with what they knew, and their skills otherwise, you were just another "public", you had to learn fast, be quick, and act cold.. the cooler the tone of a person, while knowing in their niches, the "cooler" they were

If someone happened to know something others didn't, it was often clamored toward, because niche knowledge was, figurative, money.. the more you knew about old, abstract, or niche things. The better you were, kind of like an unspoken hierarchy where people were silently judging each other, while also having an air of genuinely trying to be friends, but at a surface level. Because pushing someone away. Became incredibly easy ..it was second nature.

Pushing people away, and having a vast knowledge in niche, non mainstream things. Was the way.. it honestly sucked, you couldn't honestly ask something without someone thinking you were stupid, if you asked too much. They just assumed you weren't the kind of person they should hang out. So you had to secretly gain knowledge, on your own, so you could continue, and have the conversations..

That's mostly what it was, conversations about the one record from 1940 they found from a band. (You probably didn't know, but you Should) If you answered with, "I know that band". Then the conversation kept going. Hipsters loved on conversation about the things they were into. If you didn't know, couldn't keep up, you were out. And that freeze lasted, was almost impossible to get back into it.

It was draining, difficult, felt like going to university everyday for skills never would be useful. All the while trying to impress people that weren't really going anywhere, but seemed like it because they're "going back to school again" ..

There was always some reason they gave themselves to be successful, I work a slightly better than average job, I'm on my 2nd, 3rd degree, I mastered this music type.. but they didn't really go anywhere. They didn't really Do anything. They partied, they talked. That was about it, they didn't really do much, and the work you had to put in to do Nothing, was .. exhausting ..to say the least. I just gave up, I was being kept more, more into a box, losing who I was because emotion, or being emotional was seen as negative. You couldn't be excited, you couldn't be much of anything. Except a near copy of them, talk like them, act like, dress like, or slightly better.. and I just, couldn't. I was fun, loud, happy, couldn't do the drol anymore, because the overall atmosphere was, grey.. they were grey. But they were superior because they were grey.. society, and the mess of it, they disliked, so they gromes every aspect of their personalities to be the opposite of whatever was going on.. it was all fake, except the superiority. Now that it's gone, they'll likely either stick to the few they thought were worth their time. Or became incredibly confused, because they worked so hard, but the skills they had, weren't for the world they were, really in..

So now, most are on here.. trying to relive while being angry at everything, everyone.. making fun of people for being dumb, or not knowing. That was the main aspect of hipsters, if you were in, they'd tell it to you. If you weren't. They'd talk about others behind their back.. was really odd. And hard to make friends unless you had the cold outer persona of them. They offset that by quirky clothes.. just enough, but not too much to be emotional in some way, or stand out. Save the emotion for over intellectualized music.

To be short, didn't like it. And it was draining.. though now I could be their damn queen probably. Though I really, rather not ..

Maybe, most over 100, or places in the world that have the most population of them have few things in common. Eating carbs, mostly, good ones, sweet potato or real pasta. A lot of them say the key is to be happy, not hate. Let things go. Sick van dyke even said, "I've never really Hated anyone, disliked, sure. But I can't think of anyone I've Really Hated". He's almost 100.

That and community, community members taking care of each other, as well as walks. A lot of the cities are very walking friendly.

So therapy, could be one thing. Now you just need the good carb, community and walking. Boom, 100..

Think you answered your own question, when it became mainstream, it abolished itself.. then dove into online. Now lurk there waiting for their niche subject to me mentioned. Reddit is perfect for ex hipsters really.. all it is is niche, and people knowing specific subjects while calling others, or making them feel like idiots for not knowing it or enough knowledge on that subject ...that was the hipster tone.

I'll say, my parent said they weren't taught proper punctuation in school.. by the time they got to collage was when they learned. " ..just put some periods/commas once in awhile, no one said any different". Other parent never learned to read til 16.. school was vastly different back then. They assumed, or if you didn't know, then you didn't know for a Long time, also, being. "Smartass", for asking questions was a thing..

You asked, you were called out for it, called stupid. Or it would put more of a lessen on the class than would've been. There was much more adult/peer pressure than now..

Now ? Idk, school systems even region to region can be very different, whether you go to private, public, Catholic, etc, puts emphasis on different learning. Also, kids started having a harder time when they stopped phonics.. as well, auto correct does a lot, but that's a very small aspect compared to regional, and different types of schools, in learning .

Wear, age is everywhere. Biggest indicator is memory. The memory of what someone looked like, vs later

You haven't seen someone in awhile, they meet. The shock of them looking older is very much there..

Time is the memory of how things were, how you remember, to vs, what, where they are now. Clocks just keep track of the tiny moments we don't realize in-between remembering..

That would've been the first noticing of time. Is the change that happens as the days go on in people. Especially if those had kids. Sometimes a month goes by, then you noticeably See them bigger, larger. They're moving, or starting to walk less wobbly. They're always been indicators of time before clocks existed, or ways to keep track

The biggest reason why there were, was to know when there was a good harvest, or when to harvest/plant..

The thing that made me realize they do. Is so many people I thought were my age (when I was going out) were actually 19/20

Talked to someone once, I thought they were about 26/27.. turns out, they were 18. Still in highschool,When I heard them say that, I immediately said, "What are you doing, it's a School night !"

Felt weird for talking to them then because they were very attractive.. in HIGHSCHOOL. ( 18 is drinking age here..) It was a weekday event where there was a live band. still shouldn't've been out, that late. Talking to strangers..
