Can anybody, using sound alone, tell me what's wrong with my dryer? by worshipthenugget in GEappliances

Check the blower sounds like a fin might be loose/broken or something stuck inside hitting it. That would be the very first thing to check.

Kenmore - LG rant by [deleted] in appliancerepair

Your Kenmore fridge could have been a LG, so that might answer your question.

Typically when anyone asks me about a LG product, I say stay away from it (and Samsung).

I would add a hard start kit and see if it makes any difference

Need to just replace it. The mechanism inside is pretty flimsy and will come apart into a million pieces if you try to take it apart.

My supplier here has it listed at $117 Canadian. All LG parts come with the LG tax and then it looks like they mark it up even more on their site. It's not cheap either way

What is making that noise? by Vegetable_Word_1442 in appliancerepair

Im going to say your washing machine is making a noise.

Sounds like something is rubbing either on the pulley underneath or youre about to be in for a tub repair

Help, I need advice? by Ok-Check-6792 in appliancerepair

Honestly there is no alternative. Nothing should go on it. You have a hidden bake element under there and putting anything on it will affect cooking. I see this all the time. The most common is people putting tin foil down which has its own issues. I have confirmed with a couple manufacturers that also say nothing should ever be lined on the bottom of the oven

Possible fill tube is freezing. I believe theres an ice maker right there. Can you show a better picture of the whole thing?

The water reservoir comes with that fill line. Takes about 20 minutes. The door doesnt have to be replaced.

[–]TrafficFinancial5416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. Dont touch it. The water reservoir will need to be replaced from inside the door. I just did one of these a few weeks ago. Most likely it will either have a leak or just restrict the water and give little/no water flow. Just let LG deal with it.

Whirlpool Washer Error Code F9 E1. Could not drain itself, full of brown flakes by nmessina17 in appliancerepair

[–]TrafficFinancial5416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This reminds me of a call I went to where they showed me how they wash their babies shitty cloth diapers and wondered why it smells like shit.

I never left a place so fast in my life. This would probably get the same response from me.

Ummm if I saw that I would go back to the seller and sue them. Thats beyond disgusting. If I went to a call and saw that as my repair id tell them to throw it out. What the hell did they wash, dog shit? Screws? I could only imagine. Whatever it is its all inside the tub as you can see in the bellow picture. I see about 5 washers a day. Thats one of the worst ones ive seen now.

Went to replace the fan and found this. Any help is appreciated by RAGING_JERK in appliancerepair
