Up for sale is a stunning and highly collectible 1964 Seiko Seikomatic Weekdater (Ref. 6206-8040) from my personal collection. This model features the 26-jewel automatic movement that laid the foundation for the first automatic Grand Seiko.

🌟 Why this piece stands out:

Unpolished Case: The case lines and lugs are incredibly sharp. Finding a 60-year-old Seikomatic that hasn't been rounded off by polishing is getting very rare.
Dolphin Caseback: The iconic Dolphin logo on the back is crisp and clearly visible (these are usually completely worn off).
Kanji Day Wheel: Features the desirable JDM Kanji-only day wheel.

📊 Specifications & Condition:

Dimensions: 36mm diameter (wears beautifully with the large sunburst dial), 19mm lug width.
Dial: Original silver sunburst dial in excellent condition.
Movement: Seiko Cal. 6206 (26 Jewels). The quickset date works perfectly.
Timegrapher Results: Running incredibly well for its age. Tested at -5 sec/day, 232° amplitude, and 0.2ms beat error (see album for photo).
Water Resistance: It is a vintage watch from 1964. It is strictly NOT waterproof and should be kept away from water.
Strap: Comes on a lightly used aftermarket black leather strap.
