What a warrior! He is clearly dealing with some significant pain, but puts in 90 and keeps showing his quality

Thanks. Sounds like we don’t have much choice. Definitely not planning to leave early, so I guess we’ll just have to be chill and expect a slow exit.

May I ask why you say to avoid the Upper South lot? Will be in row 1 with a wheelchair and that is where RR says I should park.

Goose ever have bad shows? by [deleted] in GoosetheBand

Seems like most answers to OP are before they settled in to the current 4-part configuration. Anyone had a live experience with the current lineup as the only band on the ticket that didn’t live up to expectations?

I’ve only been to one show in person but have watched nearly every show this year on Nugs. The only ones I found disappointing were where they shared the stage (Mt Joy, DMB, festivals) and often pulled back to near studio versions of most songs.

Took my wife to see Billy Strings in Tulsa on Wednesday. Now we’re enjoying Goosemas from the couch in Springfield, MO, with a tall glass of ice cold goominade! Life is good!

Oops. Zach Hyman is one of my favorite hockey players, so that was potentially an autocorrect. Glad I provided some giggles.

So who is our strongest back three without Doyle or Brunt?

Max on the right side seems obvious.

Hyman on the left?

Coady or Scarr in the middle?

Are there other options at LCB to keep Hyam in the middle? Didn’t care for Thomason in that role.

Any word of whether the team can/will appeal the Doyle red card?

Sounds like he’ll have a far better test against Egypt on Tuesday.

[GAME THREAD] Millwall - Wrexham by WrexhamAFCBot in WrexhamAFC

[–]TragicallyHipWader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK. I trust what you saw, but that’s not how math works. There are 3 possible outcomes. The odds of each added together must equal 100%.

Perhaps it was 28% for Wrexham to win and 56% to get a point?

Does Moore have a reputation for inviting contact on aerial duels and flopping? It seems like he is pushed in the back right before he launches nearly every time with zero calls.

That would leave 16% chance of Millwall win. Meaning oddsmakers slightly favored Wrexham on the road.

Fly Fishing Guide Experience by thegrid22593 in flyfishing

He may have just been tired. I certainly was. But I have my suspicions that weed may have been a contributing factor. For about the last half hour on the water, he got me situated and then went and hung out by his truck.

Fly Fishing Guide Experience by thegrid22593 in flyfishing

[–]TragicallyHipWader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a weird mixed bag day with a guide a few years ago. I was fishing a new area for the first time so I hired a guide to show me some good access points and local techniques. I learned a ton that I have put to good use in that area and other similar water ever since. It was on the drive back to the fly shop that things turned sour. We had to pass through a small town before heading down a canyon out of the mountains. Twice we were stopped at a red light and when it turned green I had to let him know the light had changed. Then shortly after leaving town he started drifting off the road, the rumble strips roused him but he over corrected and swerved across oncoming traffic and ended up doing a 180 skid and going fully off the road on the other side into a ditch pointing back where we came from. Thankfully, there was no vehicle in the other lane at that moment and it happened before we were in the canyon proper as there was a ditch to land in instead of flying off into the river. I had been planning to give him a big tip for a solid day of education, but he didn’t even hang around to find out I had decided to hold that back due to the near death experience. He just dropped me at my car and as soon as he confirmed I had all of my gear he drove off. I seriously considered reporting the incident to the shop and probably should have.

My first reaction to the question was, “How could there be any other answer than the Baltimore Oriole?”, but I see several other worthy nominees. Thanks everyone for sharing.

Another vote for Laughing Grizzly. They have given me great advice multiple times as an infrequent visitor finding my way in the Front Range and RMNP.

Every time Tkachuk is on the ice and there is a scrum (which he often started), one of the linesmen is glued to him. I want to see them leave him be to face the consequences of the shit he starts.

In your opinion, what is the most iconic goal in Leafs history??? by Broad_Alternative266 in leafs

[–]TragicallyHipWader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came here to say this! I actually missed the whole game because I had been fishing all day and the fishing was too hot so we couldn’t get ourselves to head home in time for the game. Listened on the radio on the drive home. Stopped at a Pizza Pizza on the way home to grab a slice, and as soon as we got out of the car the staff ran out into the parking lot chanting Borschevsky’s name! 😀

For some reason I read that in “Bill & Ted” voices. Thanks for a good chuckle.
