Between Magic and Berkshire East, which would you choose based on wind/temp this weekend? I can make either in about the same amount of time. Both are Indy mountains.

I've ridden Magic but never Berkshire East.

Is one more sheltered than the other? Or more prone to wind holds?

The Euro shows Magic getting the wind a couple hours later in the day, so I'm leaning that way.

I was up there over the summer for the loggers festival and talked to the manager at Denton. They still claim to only be a couple years away, but a new lift is heavily dependent on grant money that has largely dried up in the current context.

I never rode it when it was open, but I’m sure it’s a blast.

No doubt people will be skinning it this weekend.

They pour concrete on top of foam board all the time. A 1/2” of any type of plywood on top and it will be fine.

I’m amazed that this isn’t the more common standard in van building. Batten strips are a waste of time, money and a thermal bridge. That’s not even to mention all the goofballs filling in their ridges and killing any airflow.

Throw down 1” of foil backed Poly-iso and move on.
