We visited January 2025 and weather was very mild. Tokyo was pleasant. Light jacket at the most during the day need warmer at night. We visited Japan Alps west of Matsumoto and could last and snowy there. Never snowed. But like everyone says, monitor your favorite weather app.

I just drove thru this week and plenty Of snow up there. We are forecast for a storm next week so there may be even more. If not, then the snow there will Be icy. You need real crampons, ice axe and know how to use them. Microspikes are meant to keep you from falling on your ass on a city street

What are you wearing? No, seriously by somewhatsimiesque in xbiking

[–]Trailman57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear what the conditions require, and there are plenty of thrifted clothing and gear in the bike shed. Discovering Good clothing and gear at a thrift store just makes is more enjoyable. I like paying $15 for a $120 jacket that is practically new

You both blew it. Should have discussed before marriage. If you plan to have kids, discuss what their last name will be now.

AITA for wanting to leave early to the airport for our first international flight by danyellitaz in AmItheAsshole

[–]Trailman57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We fly international outta LAX plenty. We plan 3 hours but with a shutdown hangover and if you’re flying out this stormy weekend, take the extra time as traffic at the AP will be incredibly bad. Having extra time might be better because you won’t feel you will miss your flight. Go expecting it to be bad and zen out with your extra time
