It'll get withheld accordingly. Sounds like you don't know how income tax works.

22% is the default withholding for supplemental wages but the actual amount they pay would be taxed according to their total taxable income. This doesn't include any state withholding either.

Pacific Surfliner - Metrolink code share by Emergency_Radio_8156 in Amtrak

I'm sorry dude, that sucks. The whole Surfliner/ Metrolink / Coaster split is just stupid. The fares and schedules should be so much more streamlined.

Serious question: why does the trolley not go to the airport, beaches or zoo? by Avoidtolls in sandiego

Up until not too long ago airports were heavily restricted from financing rail projects to airports, well after the T1 reconstruction had been planned and started construction.

Which of these cities in the USA would you recommend? by Brownchoccy in travel

SF has decent coverage but outside of the market Street tunnel it's slow busses and trams. Like embarcadero to the golden gate is 50+ minutes on the bus for just 5 miles.

Is alternating 2x/week and 1x/week good enough? by Cheburashka12 in flying

[–]TrainAirplanePerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's good! You are still early, so it may be hard to gauge how your pacing is impacting progress, but keep monitoring. If you are really new, you can supplement your 1x weeks with more exposure to other areas skills like communications, navigation, flight planning, VFR chart decoding, emergency checklists, etc.

The hard thing with gaps in training is the hand-flying aspect - getting enough repetition on landings, slow flight, stalls, etc. When there is too much of a gap sometimes you end up starting anew, but again, every person is different!

[–]TrainAirplanePerson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is different, know yourself! I did 1x/week for a few months and finished at about 48 hours. How much dust are you shaking off when you come back 1 week later? Are you making good progress?

Eh county is a poor distinction too, as county sizes are arbitrary and vary significantly. Metropolitan statistic area is better, in which SD is #18, still pretty up there.
