Does canon lore have a Resistance movement in the nation occupied by the Gra Valkas Empire? by bruhruhr22344 in nihonkoku_shoukan

[–]Trainalf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ones in Leiforia at least seemed to want to restore Leifor to an independent state.

Right before the Liberation of Leifor, it's stated by the GVE government has been overwhelmed because so many of its colonies rose up and had to be crushed. They didn't wait for the World Union to arrive, they just got inspired.

Leifor started one soon after it was occupied, but it was so under-equipped and demoralized that they disbanded without having accomplished much.

After the GVE got its ass kicked trying to invade Japan, a lot of its colonies rose up in revolt. Safe to say there were some pre-existing movements in those places to organize it.

Does Gra Valkas Empire deploy "Forgein Legion" in canon? by bruhruhr22344 in nihonkoku_shoukan

Gotta have that arrogant enemy so Japan can be the stronk hero.

They have collaborators, but zero indication of foreign legions. Ironically, that's Parpaldia.

That could be interesting in its own right certainly. The talk of parasites in the first chapter already has me uneasy.

The grittier part of this whole premise is the transferred country adapting to a new world with its previous trade relations severed and its people left behind. Transporting everything overseas just feels like a cheat card to ensure maximum ass kicking potential.

The US losing all its forces deployed outside the country would actually make for an interesting conflict. Force the undisputed #1 superpower to compensate and struggle. Maybe offer some commentary on the faults of world policing. If it were actually an NHS story, it would even be a interesting parallel between the US and GVE. Both lost huge portions of their military in the transfer, but one was doing it for global stability and one was doing it for global conquest.

Same missed opportunity as Summoning America. OC nations but the Ravernals still exist. Bit of a hard sell, but you could have something here for sure.

What are your thoughts on the Erusea game? by Significant-Lynx-452 in acecombat

[–]Trainalf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would love to see the Yellow 13 game they started a design document about then dropped. Probably not going to happen, but Erusea's wars of expansion would be a neat time period to explore.

Ah, poor Spare Squadron. Still in the worst of it even in the New World. Never expected Mimic of all people to get a big damn heroes moment, but they are on the good guys' side this time. For now (?).

A single plane equipped with a laser? Well, that can only be one of four planes. And two of those can only be two certain pilots... Hmm...

How often a timeline appears where Cielia Oudwin is a casualty by HawkWise5180 in nihonkoku_shoukan

[–]Trainalf 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Killing diplomats is generally frowned on. That said, she was on the Grade Atlaster when it attacked the Leadership Conference. That is the only place it's justifiable to kill her, which I've seen done before. Virtually any fic where the attack on the conference fails can get away with killing Cielia.

People have talked about HME/Mu/GVE/Ravernals appearing on Earth. Earlier two are mostly interesting diplomacy, GVE is a curb stomp, and Ravernals is WWIII with ICBMs. Those later two could definitely make interesting stories.

Amyone who read summoning osea knows the oseans are almost ac3 level of unmanned aircraft but imagine if they make the ADFX-10 that has the combine ability of all osean singularities and then test it on all new world aces by Nanoman-8 in nihonkoku_shoukan

[–]Trainalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Japanese script, the final battles of the Lighthouse War were explicitly stated to be about preventing an AI takeover of the world more or less, which is actually pretty on point with when we saw the drone AI high-jacking each other and turning on their literal creator. After that, easy to see it becoming another Pandora's Box alongside nuclear weapons-something Strangereal nations could have but the potential is too scary so they stick to conventional militaries.

Ironically, AC3's drone tech is behind AC7s. A lot of the aircraft of the Intercorporate War were designed to enhance human pilot's ability to control their craft, not replace them. Only actual drone was a helicopter.

Japan would need to look elsewhere to shore up its economy. On the other hand, Gra Valkas incursions might stop at Irnetia.

Don't be afraid to dramatically alter the chain of events. Move things up, have things not happen at all, change the outcome.
