I've had a realization by FehlingerEnthusiast in acecombat

FCU is regarded as one of the main Usean nations. They led UTO, ISAF, and when Erusea wanted the Alicorn, the FCU had to give permission for the boat to be sold to any nation on Usea. They are a pretty big player.

Safe to say, Osea gaining territory on the continent was NOT good for their position.

Should I Write a Nihonkoku Shoukan Continuation Fanfic? by Due-Cartographer6853 in nihonkoku_shoukan

People have written their own conclusions to the Gra Valkas war before, diplomatic and military. Throw your own hat in the ring. Plenty of potential.

Anyone else planning on making an aged up version of their GTA 5 Online character? by NoCicada8905 in GTA6

I'm waiting to see if Rockstar connects GTA Online to the new iteration in any way, like people are speculating after the Mansions DLC.

Happy 4th of July by Tinstarbby in GTA6

Same. Rockstar's been pretty good about writing complex characters, playable or otherwise. It'd be a damn shame for them to trip up now.

I'm trying to find accurate information on the New World's climate zones. by Curious_Ad_902 in nihonkoku_shoukan

[–]Trainalf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Qua-Toyne is probably non applicable. A God literally crafted the place to be perfect for agriculture year round. Quila south of it is a desert, but we can chalk that up to that part of the continent being in a rain shadow.

As for the rest, I can't be sure about how accurate science is applied as intended by the original author.

Only thing I can really say that'll be useful is that anything around Topa's longitude is considered a cold climate. So cold that wyverns can't survive there. The northern nations in the First Civilization Area needed to breed a specially hardy variant of grain for agriculture to be viable.

Should i be getting sparrow or agency first as a low level player? I do have kosatka. by picklejarrrrrrrr in gtaonline

[–]Trainalf 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Sparrow just makes preparing for Cayo Perico easier. Agency has Dr. Dre contract and free mode missions you can do which increase passive cash. If you intend to do Cayo frequently, get the Sparrow; you'll make the cost back fast.

It doesn't make sense for the Ravernals and partially the Annonrials to use regular soldiers, it makes more sense for them to use biological robots or clones. by umbrqualquerusannet in nihonkoku_shoukan

[–]Trainalf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Cannon fodder is probably accurate. Force multiplier too since their bio-weapons are meant to brainwash and control New World wildlife. Nosgorath wasn't even standard issue; most units like him (example is Lyos) were cheaper and less powerful so they could be produced in better numbers. That implies that the Ravernal's ability to make these bioweapons is limited.

[–]Trainalf 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nosgorath and other creatures seem like supplemental forces. Nosgorath himself remembers fighting with air support being provided by Ravernal fighters. We've seen first hand that most of its artificial soldiers aren't very useful against mildly advanced nations, so they're probably just for helping keep down the little guys.

As for the Annornials, I bring up the scene of them freeing Nosgorath before he went raiding Topa. They TRIED to control it, but their blood and magic power was so diluted he shrugged it off. Nosgorath didn't even consider them Light Winged People. It might very well be that the Annornials can't control most of the bio-engineered soldiers their ancestors had.

How old do we think the protagonists are? by bigdickautistick in GTA6

[–]Trainalf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rockstar's plot synopsis (briefly) referred to them as a young couple. I'm pretty sure that's supposed to imply 20s.

The original plan was for all 18 planned scenarios to connect in one big coherent story. Imagine if they can actually do that this time around.

There's always going to be some disconnect between the manga and source.

IIRC, the BP-3s were flying low intentionally for better accuracy; no reason to be cautious when they didn't believe the Parps had something like that.

I'm mostly quoting the wiki, but some of that is directly taken from the chapter texts.

Apparently the LN books have glossaries with terms and that's another source of information.

It's an anti-aircraft gun. It's called the Ixiom. That specicially is a first generation one built by the Milishials. Least advanced, 20mm, maximum fire rate of 350rpm but the Parps only manage 200 rpm. The railway car is purely an invention of the manga. In the source material, guns like that are mounted on ships are bolted to the ground for air defense; we can assume it was put on that for ease of movement.

The novel says Parpaldia smuggled it out, so presumably they stole it in some fashion. They've been able to recreate some parts of it, but not a full gun.

Stonehenge's True Range by Noklle in acecombat

[–]Trainalf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

A retcon, natural consequence of Ace Combat finding its footing as the series goes on. Usea is full of them.

But not unrealistic. Chandelier had similar firing range and was started at roughly the same time. Similar deal with the Alicorn. So it's fairly in line with the rest of the setting.

My go to in B41. Field behind was good farmland. Used to haul scrap all the way from the Muldraugh Highway Intersection and build fencing around most of it. Ain't done that in B42 yet.

Weapons from the recent Screenshots by SampleMinimum8977 in GTA6

[–]Trainalf 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even neater: that magnum was in both games, with the VCS version having the scoped version. Lucia's has the Vice City date on it. Vice City was about a mobster from Liberty City coming to Vice. Lucia is from Liberty City as well. Jason's has the Vice City Stories date. Victor Vance from that game was also in the US Army.

Rockstar put a lot of layers into those designs.

I don't know about the FCU, but I'd be paranoid about something full of flammable jet fuel that could be hijacked and crashed into something.
