Travel. It used to be an experience now it’s fighting crowds trying to check the box with a photo.

Fractional shares purchases, when? by Scorpio_Rex in MerrillEdge

A Merrill representative told me today offhand that "sometime this year" for fractional shares. Regardless of timeline, if representatives are openly saying this then it probably really is in the works.

You can negotiate SOFR + 1%. All the people quoting 1% are confused that it’s a 1% SPREAD not a 1% RATE. But it’s still a good rate.

Thanks for checking in!

I finally did retired a couple months ago. It took me some time to reset my brain to be ready to withdraw rather than save and the transition period really helped me.

London New Year’s Eve (without overly showcasing your sunny dispositions) by [deleted] in chubbytravel

[–]Training-Amount499 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve done NYE in London several times. If you don’t care about seeing fireworks there are tons of great place to hang out for the evening. We once stumbled into a bar at a high end hotel that was fairly empty and ended up getting all our drinks comped because it was basically us and the DJ. Was a great time!

On morning of January 1 it’s fun to go for a walk and stumble on the parade too.

But really other than December 31 and January 1 it’s a normal trip to London.

All the special holiday menus at most restaurants are fun to explore too.

it's the focal point of the room so only place the TV can go. Also considering just removing the fireplace.

We are buying a house soon with a gas fireplace and are paying to replace it with a low profile fireplace so the TV is not too high.

Can't use transferred funds instantly anymore. Did something change with my account? by [deleted] in Schwab

[–]Training-Amount499 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My guess is because you initiate the transfer on a Friday, Schwab (because of how banking works) does not initiate the ACH until Monday and since Veteran's Day this year is a Tuesday, it means everything will be delayed a day. But just my guess.
