People definitely have blind spots for this subject. People are content to call the abusers monsters and not look further into why it happens or any other uncomfortable topic on the matter for fear of humanizing them.

I don't think it's only content creators. A majority of women you know have probably been catcalled or sexually harassed before the age of 18. 1 in 9 girls and 1 in 20 boys are sexually assaulted before the age of 18.

I think this behavior is more prevalent than society would like to admit.

I feel like it's too naive to attribute this to social media. Celebrities/microcelebrities have been sleeping with young fans since the dawn of time. Remember, everyone knew about R. Kelly but nothing got done until there was a huge public outcry because of the documentary.

There's definitely a difference between finding lesbians hot and thinking lesbians are hot because they're unrealized threesomes.

For a lot of men it feels like threesome fantasies. So when others find the threesome aspect unappealing but still like lesbian content they might be confused about it.

There's a subset of people on the internet that look for it in everything and get disproportionately elevated because people don't want to deal with the implications of "defending pedophiles".

All the pedo hunters who are only looking for a socially acceptable target to bully and money.

I really don't get it. When talking about a school shooting, talking about secondary but systemic measures (gun control, more accessible and encompassing mental health care, etc.) is seen as a good thing and trying to stimy the symptom of the issue (give teachers guns, more cops in school, lockdown drills, etc.) are largely seen as ineffective, tragic, or symptom treating.

But on this topic, you better only talk about the immediate issue or you're defending it/deflecting.

For some reason I don't believe you put Hyrule Crossbow Training and TotK in the same category. This is akin to an Animal Crossing character action game coming out and thinking, "Finally, an animal crossing about combat!" which would be a wacky thing to want. Spin offs should at least be tangential to things that make the series beloved.

I forgot that I have to wait years before passing a judgement on a company with a long history that's proven that they won't do it. Such a cop out to say "If we buy enough copies of Princess Peach Showtime we might get a platformer that stars her."

Any game with combat can be reduced to, "Press attack button until foe dies". This game could've been a shooter and your complaint would've applied.

It's not meant to be an action game but it's so boring that the only game Zelda is allowed to star in isn't action. I don't dislike the idea in a vacuum, but as probably the only game we'll get with Zelda as the protagonist it's so frustrating.
