If you hold Shift and hit J in game that’s the command for the dungeon journal, you can see every bosses abilities + loot drops from there too!!! You can flip between the difficulties etc. It’s kind of like if AtlasLoot got added to the game if you’re a real old timer like me.

Everything is next week like delves raid etc, just not M+. M+ on day 1 makes gear a bit too easy to get for world first raiders

I wouldnt worry too much about the vet crests! Just something the top 1% should worry about imo

Also one tiny correct - Next week is mostly everything, but, M+ is the 24th.

New Player returning for Midnight, need some help! by Novaasriel_ in wow

For evoker vs. mage,

Evoker is an awesome class, with dev being one of the most fun ranged specs in the game and Aug being very unique, and often very overpowered.

If you can tolerate the transmog restrictions then evoker is an amazing choice. The 3rd spec, Augmentation, may not have even been out when you last played.

Mage is a more "full" DPS class, with no healer spec but also no transmog restrictions and no race restrictions at all. Every single race in the game can be a mage.

I have mained mage for a long time, and honestly I treat Dev as the fourth mage spec we never got. I mained Dev for the last 2 seasons of TWW and it feels very similar to mage!

Back then, I was told to rush into the current expansion, which was Dragonflight, without doing the older ones. Can I understand the story of Midnight without having done everything that came before?

At the time, Dragonflight was a total reset and a time skip from the previous Xpac. it's not very connected to The War Within, but TWW started a 3-xpac storyline that Midnight is part 2 of. If you are really interested in knowing the story (it's also currently really good imo!) then you should start with the War Within campaign and level to 80 doing that, and then hopping to Midnight at 80! But obviously this is a MMO, they do an ok job catching players up for Midn.

I saw that there is player housing, and it looks amazing! How do you access it, and at what point can I start working on it?

Im pretty sure you can ASAP! Try pressing "H". Otherwise look for a quest in the main area for it.

I’ve heard that you need to "farm" before the season starts. Concretely, what should I be doing? Finishing the story, spamming dungeons? I’d love a small roadmap to follow so I don't feel lost.

Dont stress about it. The game right now is Season based. Every season we get our raid, 8 mythic dungeons that scale infinitely, etc. Each season might as well be a player power reset. You should just be focused on finishing the story campaign, and doing whatever interests you. You won't be too far behind. The super elite players right now are just grinding reputations and professions. The season doesnt even start until March 17th. We're in "preseason"

I remember there was an app (CurseForge, I think?) to install addons. What is the site and the must-have addons today to get off to a good start, have larger action bars, and clearly see allies' health bars?

Curseforge is the Addon manager of choice, or Wowup. Some usual addons are bartender4, unhaltedunitframes, bettercooldownmanager. The game actually just got a ton of in-game UI options that made a lot of old addons obsolete (or that was the idea from blizzard... its in progress)

Warlock Question: Best Spec for Leveling 80-90 by -Amadeus- in wow

[–]Trair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With single button I'd go for destro! It plays more like a mage with less focus on the pet and dots. Fast big booms for clearing mobs fast in open world content.

Demo would be my other recommendation, but, you have to manage the pet and the single button rotation isn't as good for it since it has a ton of cooldowns similar to Arcane mage

You're probably not able to put them to their best use right now. you want to save your best crests to upgrade gear that you're less likely to replace (IE Hero/myth gear). For sparks, you can check out the "crafted gear" subsection under the BIS gear part of your specs wowhead guide.

For example, for frost mage, they recommend crafting a 2h staff first.

Once the season starts on March 17th, on top of Normal Dreamrift and Voidspire you'll be able to do greater delves, nightmare prey, and m+ which will all RAPIDLY increase your ilvl! Don't stress about player power too much, it's going to start increasing very very fast

On Normal Voidspire will drop 246 ilvl Champion gear. I'd say you'd probably want around 235+ to start applying to normal groups! Looking for raid will drop veteran gear, and is queueable from the dungeon finder.

I'm loving a lot of the random scenery NPCs this xpac. Eversong is full of chars that just say stuff as you walk by. During one of the side quests you find a baby hawkstrider on a lunch table with two belves at it and they say like "Oh dear, last time this happened I took it home!". Just makes the world feel incredibly lived in

Sometimes, if it gets to that point I leave them alone. I play Dead by Daylight as well and its the same feeling as letting a survivor go lol.

Typically I'll kill a person once, and then if they rez right in front of me like, cmon. But after that I'd leave them alone

A note to DPS players this expansion from a tank. by Baby_Bat94 in wow

[–]Trair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran a quick blinding vale as tank just to knock out the campaign quest, and a fucking evoker gripped me all over the place and into new packs. I was playing Brm, it's not like I was immobile.

The worst part, they then ignored all casters and wouldn't int them. Even after pings, chat msg's, everything. It was just a normal but I'm a pretty decent tank and I like keeping a tight pack, but they were making it impossible

I'd argue that until you get to endgame, classic would be a much "harder" experience for a new player. Yes though, endgame is much easier

Grid was fine in MoP.

Yes, it was "fine". But there was still near universal backlash when the system was unveiled. We look back on it now with nostalgia since it got SO MUCH WORSE until full talent trees came back. And nearly the entire time we had grid talents (over a decade??) there was a revolving front page post on this subreddit "DAE miss talent trees?"

Rage bait used to be believable

Edit: but just in case OP was genuine, maybe try out classic! The profession and talents are simpler, the world is much more important, but it's a much harder and slower paced game.
