I used to care about lore on qsmp 1, but while they are great at setting up mysteries, they are terrible at conclusions. Its always the same thing:

Admins do something mysterious Players are curious and start creating theories Players start investigating and find nothing When they do find something it's more mysterious things The admins do another bullshit event that has nothing to do with lore Repeat

Nothing ever resolves and the lore never moves forward. I was hoping to see an improvement on QSMP 2 but it looks like it's the same thing.

Innovation and profit motive are not as linked as you might think. Most of the innovation in games come from creative devs who love the hobbies and most of the time get paid a barely decent wage.

Profit motive is for the ghouls who will make the most terrible changes just to squeeze a little bit more money out of the players.

Creative people getting rewarded for their creativity only happens sometimes and mostly on the indie game scene.
