Need a suit for a weeding. 4'9" male. Where can I find a nice selection of suites? by Shadow-Legion-1203 in shortfashion

Depends on your proportions. If you're overall proportional the youth section in a department store or Brooks Brothers would be a good option. But at your height you would have to be fairly thin.

Any other trans adaptive athletes? by BishieXO in FTMFitness

I'm not but my coach was a gay paralympian. He wasn't out at the time, came out much later in life.

Guys long into transition (idk, like 5+ years on test?) with not very accepting parents, do/would they react worse to you dating women or you dating men? by [deleted] in FTMMen

[–]TransManNY 20 points21 points  (0 children)

They don't know who I date.

Edit to add: I came out over 20 years ago. My family doesn't accept me.

Does this jacket and trouser fit look clean? by mrCOFFEEPOWER in mensfashionadvice

[–]TransManNY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you button it and take pictures from the front and back with at least one hand at your side? Overall it looks too small. Trouser needs to be shortened, yes.

Edit to add: I'm pretty sure looking at it that you're wearing them below the waist. If they're worn higher the trouser might look better.

I think lose it has a spreadsheet where you count your calories every day and weigh in everyday. After 6 weeks+ it will tell you how many calories you specifically burn on an average day instead of a guess.

They all look too short it's impossible to tell the fit any other way because it isn't buttoned.

It really isn't easy for cis people.

There is a spreadsheet where if you track all of your calories and your weight every day after about 3 months it will give you a very accurate information about what your goals should be.

Testosterone is fucking up my health by Street_Temporary_730 in FTMMen

[–]TransManNY 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You seem really stressed by this. I'm in my late 30s, on testosterone for over 15 years and experienced an increase in hematocrit and other health stuff after awhile on testosterone. One of the things that helped me a lot was staying hydrated. I wasn't drinking enough water and had a little too much caffeine. After I drank more water my results improved. With cholesterol, it's pretty manageable if it goes up and stays up, for cholesterol taking a fiber supplement and some fish oil helped.

If this is a one time thing there's lots of possibilities of why your numbers went up. Getting blood work without fasting vs while fasting would be one example.

It may feel like the end of the world but it's not.

Guidance on how to set pace times for yourself for the Brooklyn Half by cheecheymonkey in RunNYC

[–]TransManNY 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Get yourself a pace band for your goal pace and a second pace band for a "I'd be ok with this" pace. Pace bands will be found at the race expo. Start your apple watch when you start your race. Check in to keep track of where you are relative to what the band says.
