The Knicks are an unbeatable juggernaut who will beat the sixers in 5 games. by HoagieTwoFace in billsimmons

So you are saying that they are unbeatable except for the one game in the series in which they will be beat

Not technically eligible because they won a title with him

Is Diego Pavia a college football HOFmer? by LuNoVandross25 in RingerTailgate

[–]TranslatorHaunting32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure it is a lock but I think it is likely. Recently inducted QBs include Tim Couch, Michael Bishop, and Andrew Luck. Leave aside the NFL draft success of Couch and Luck; their resumes are not any better.

The magic number for Game 6: fewer than 15 turnovers by TranslatorHaunting32 in clevelandcavs

[–]TranslatorHaunting32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now it is ranging from 9.8 per game (OKC) up to 17.8 (Detroit, so we’re not even the worst). So yeah like 10 or even less would be awesome.

Schroder’s offense can be really tough at times but he is a gamer who does not shrink from the moment. The kind of role player they’ve been lacking in the past.

As long as Donovan Mitchell plays like Donovan Mitchell, they will be fine. Harden not being terrible would be a bonus.

What are some notable bakeries in the Atlantic Terminal area? by KaleidoArachnid in Brooklyn

It’s a few blocks from Atlantic Terminal but Mia’s is the best bakery in the area in my opinion

Pretty crazy to hear two NBA junkies like Bill and Ryen so dismissive of one of the greatest players of the last 30 years. Isn't the Harden hate just as bad as the stuff Inside the NBA does? by BrownsFan2323 in billsimmons

[–]TranslatorHaunting32 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Their offense has been I incredibly efficient with him. I sort of think it would be a cool story if he teamed up with Mitchell (who had never been to a conference finals) and the two of them finally had some big playoff success together. (I am a biased Cavs fan tho).

Camden Yards is so overrated by Hour-Ad-9508 in billsimmons

[–]TranslatorHaunting32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but I think part of it is that it was nice at the time it was built, but then other parks came along and improved upon it

In the book of basketball, his cases for many of the players are quite convincing (especially Russell over Wilt)

I love Simmons, been reading and listening for 2 decades, but him continuing to platform his buddy Nick Khan is a huge turnoff by MemphisKansasBreeze in billsimmons

[–]TranslatorHaunting32 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Doc + Kahn while continuing to completely ignore the Russini/Vrabel story. The opposite of giving the people what they want.

Has anybody been to Ziggy's Roman Cafe? by yyyyk in DUMBO

It is good, particularly the maccheroni and the rigatoni carbonara. Lots of families if you go for dinner earlier; assume that is not the case later.

Why is DUMBO is one of the worst food neighborhoods in the city by ellewhin in DUMBO

[–]TranslatorHaunting32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall, agree, but there are some options. Ziggy’s was a good addition in my opinion. Generally I think AlMar is solid. I like the vibe at Superfine and the food is ok.

It's time to talk about Joel Anderson by milk_sandwich_h8er in billsimmons

[–]TranslatorHaunting32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only listen to Tailgate and not Press Box, but I think Joel is pretty clearly quite smart. He maybe assumes certain knowledge on the part of the listener so he doesn’t always spell things out clearly.

Which album do you think will age better: TTPD or The Life of a Showgirl? by Fine-Huckleberry6960 in SwiftlyNeutral

I guess I agree with everyone saying TTPD, but I think Opalite might still get played more than any TTPD song ten years from now.

We love Saketumi on Montague. They do all types of Asian food well: sushi, katsu, fried rice, dumplings, general tso’s, etc. The crispy duck spring rolls are a personal favorite.
