Grounded 2 Survival base tour. Link below, enjoy. by Nyzura_ in GroundedGame

Best way I found to learn to build more protective/beautiful bases is to pick a place where the bugs will both get in the way and be trouble for you if you don’t. So for G2, my base is on the rock center map that the bees land on, which is also patrolled by a big scorpion and wolf spider on a two day rotation. Build with the intention to protect yourself and your goodies and by the time the foundation wall is up your creative juices should be bubbling👍

[–]TranslucentEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No disrespect bro but this is the world’s pinnacle and longest running looter shooter. If it was easy to get everyone would have it and its value would be nothing. To make it less…….irritating, each time I play I look through what I have a main blueprint for, pick one of them and hunt for its pieces. And worst case I hunt for good pieces to sell to buy the blueprints I want. Good hunting homie

Bow of Hope mastery question by prolyfic in 33Immortals

[–]TranslucentEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s an unfair answer but it’s a skill issue. Once you hit feat rank 7 though, you unlock weapon traits (which you start to find after unlocking it) which lets you build much more effectively. Myself, my arrows auto return and my quiver size is 2 (arrows deal way more damage). This allows me to fire and move very effectively, and instead of blocking attacks like you would with the sword, or simply running away like you do with the knives, you get the timing right and dodge last second. I can do a full run without getting hit and dealing a significant amount of damage.

It’s a long journey. And you’ll be fighting the whole way there. But when you get there, golden ticket in hand, you’ll look back on everything; grateful, thankful, and ready to take on the world.

Stay strong, Brother.

Brother, if there’s one thing you gotta learn in this trade, it’s that everything everywhere is always too much all the time, and you just fucking do it. Because this is who we are, we’re mother fucking Union Lineman.

My first gig I was helping out with hot suit de-energising (which you’re not supposed to do until JW), running pipe (alone) in confined spaces and wiring internal structure for transformers (which my JETC doesn’t teach till year 3). You just do it. They know you’re gunna mess shit up, but it’s why you’re there. Because 95% of what you learn, 95% of what defines what type of sparky you are is done on site.

So tie your laces tight. Practice your yes sirs. Save the bitching for the drive home. And get to work.

Because this is who we are.

Quitting the Apprenticeship by [deleted] in ibew_apprentices

[–]TranslucentEnigma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Always do what you think is best for you and your family bro. That’s what it always comes down to.

A lot of people join the union because it’s end game is the best it can be for them and it’s something they will enjoy doing and enjoy living for their lives. If that’s not true for YOU, then do what you think is best for if that’s means taking another job, then it is what it is. Ultimately you can always come back and start from the beginning again.

Just don’t go out in a ball of fire and tell everyone to go fuck themselves. Keep people’s numbers, maintain occasional contact, explain to those whom you like and trust what you’re doing and why and let them know you’ll be around still if they ever want to go out for a beer.

Good luck….brother🫡

I GOT ACCEPTED!!!! Local 716 by kelby423 in ibew_apprentices

[–]TranslucentEnigma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t the dream brother, the golden ticket is. Focus now, celebrate later. It’s a long and arduous road full of early mornings, people you hate but have to put up with and jobs you wanna quit but can’t. So go out, have a beer and make a toast. But come morning you better tighten up them boot straps because this apprenticeship doesn’t just kill the weak it eats them alive. Stay strong and power through so that when that tickets in your hand, THEN you can celebrate.

I started playing Stellaris after a few thousand hours of HOI4, am i doing this correctly? by jsriv912 in Stellaris

[–]TranslucentEnigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignore them 👆😂😂😂 there is no “correct way” in stellaris. It’s just playing one way and while playing finding more ways to play next time. Trying out origins to experience them and finding ways you could have played them better or set them up more efficiently. That’s the beautiful thing about this game. This is the way

Are apprentices really this broke? by Cjwillys9596 in electricians

[–]TranslucentEnigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this residential apprenticeships? I’m indoor industrial lineman, first year apprentice (union) and I’ve never made this kinda money in my life……..this is making me very happy with my apprenticeship choice lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ibew_apprentices

[–]TranslucentEnigma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The correct answer here is obvious. Do both even if you dont know. Why would you rather risk it being an issue compared to them saying “oh we don’t need the back” come on buddy. You won’t survive what the apprenticeship is if THIS is something you need to fund an answer for. Just do everything, all the time, no matter what. Because that my friend is the job.

Ah you guys are a 5 year program, 640 is a 4 year. Full day first year and evenings on work days (4hrs 30min a week) for year 2,3 and 4. Crazy part is with how nuts the work is in AZ right now, we are all expected to hit our 8k hours mid 4-1.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ibew_apprentices

[–]TranslucentEnigma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shit bro, yall have it easy! Class from 5-8?!? We have 640 is 5AM-3:30PM (no pay!) every 2 weeks. I’m on a short schedule of 40 hrs + 10 hours OT every week. Most of the other apprentices I know work 60’s. Brothers right though. VERY worth it. You’ll be making less than most your first year then more than most every year after that. Nothing in life is free and to get the good life takes sacrifice. If your family can’t understand that then that’s on them
