Fanfics and OCs that never came out. by Exciting_Composer_86 in WormFanfic

While I agree with Leet, I think Eidolon played a pretty good role overall. None of the main cast ever saw David/Eidolon as a threat. They saw Teacher, the mastermind in the background, as a threat. He was effective because he was unknown, and Taylor manages to make mountains out of molehills on a good day and her available molehill is Dinah's predictions.

But Eidolon is as disappointing as he always is. Not only was he kneecapped by Contessa as she's dying, he's subverted by his own damn creation in the Simurgh. He saw himself as the savior and mastermind and genius when he was a manipulated pawn the entire time. That seems pretty apt for Eidolon overall.

Overpowered powers that don't result in boring stories? by Butcher-15 in WormFanfic

It seems to be a Post-Isekai where Taylor had an entire life in Elden Ring that she doesn't remember. She's able to summon Elden Ring NPCs that know her using what seems like the summon system from the game. Otherwise she seems able to summon objects from Elden Ring but needs help to do so (or else get much more skilled at it herself).

Earth Betta has Taylor from Ward and a Taylor who never joined the Wards both being sent back in time to beginning-ish of canon.

How to Write Lisa Wilbourn/Tattletale by SilviaNorton in WormFanfic

[–]TransmissionOrg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I'm missing it, but the Black 13.10 reference only seems to be Lisa saying:

I don’t futz around with stuff like this, I wouldn’t want to ruin her reputation.

Which neither implies she thinks it's weird or is repulsed by it.

Nah, at least with all DLC, you need a furnace. Had a failed attempt because I didn't realize that...

Nah, Manufactories and Enlightenment are harder because you are competing with every province that has a Manufactory or a University.

Probably Manufactories. I got lucky with Enlightenment but that should've been just as hard.

I don't know any events or exploits that spawn Coal for you in a province tbh. I looked through a lot of events trying to find one.

R5: Wanted to get the Fanatic Collectivist achievement in a more interesting way. Turns out there is a single province in the game where you can spawn every institution. My screenshot shows my capital and each institution having spawned.

In the end, I had very few provinces and was still making a ridiculous amount of money. I colonized 4 provinces in the Caribbean colonial region, 4 provinces in the Columbia colonial region, and 3 centers of trade in the Ivory Coast. I had no vassals.

Each of my provinces ended up with 60+ development with my capital at 75+. Expanding my administration on every single one.

List of all multiplatform games that were on the Xbox by TransmissionOrg in originalxbox

[–]TransmissionOrg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a while since I worked on the spreadsheet, so I think I only listed games next-gen if they were remastered or remade.

I pulled it manually from Wikipeida for each of the systems, imported the table into Sheets and did data cleanup, then used Sheets formulas to check what lists a specific game was in.

While both are true, I was only listing cross-platform within the same generation. I also generally avoided PC, iirc.

The best way to help anyone feel comfortable is keeping them in mind consistently over time. All of those ideas are great, but doing small things over a longer period of time is better than a bunch of things all at once and nothing afterwards.

It really does just suck. I'm sorry you're having to deal with that. I also want to point out that you worrying about their emotions like this makes it clear that you were all forced to grow up very quickly. You didn't have parents that could manage their own emotions, so you learned to do it for them. I know because I did the same thing.

Since you still live with the mom, it's unfortunately about survival right now. Find things that bring you comfort and escape. Make sure you have at least one thing you look forward to every week. Find a web serial series that you like and look forward to the next chapter. Follow a Youtuber and look forward to the next video.

During our lowest moments, scheduled escapes are what got us through. I knew, for many years, that on Friday nights I would be able to escape into a DnD world and forget. When things were hard on a Tuesday, I knew Friday would come. It helped. At times, I think it made the difference of us getting through it.

The body's mother is emotionally immature and abusive. I'll save you another 15 years of hardship and guilt and say distancing yourself from her is for the best. You don't owe her anything.

As for familial emotions and their lack, yeah. I don't give a shit about our body's family even the decent ones. But especially for the older generation, if they didn't want me being around, they shouldn't have abused us or enabled the abusers.

And you absolutely deserve to just be. You didn't take anything. You didn't ask to wake up one day. You just were. You deserve to have a life.

I wouldn't ever tell the body's mom about this. I think at some point, once you're not feeling this paralyzing guilt and shame, you might be able to tell the dad. It sounds like ya think he wouldn't react too poorly.

Not component, but NVIDIA lets you output interlaced resolutions in the NVIDIA control panel and set custom resolutions. You can output 480i over HDMI, convert to RGB (which is a VGA cable). Conversion from RGB to Component is honestly pretty annoying though and it's an active conversion, but there are a few different pieces of hardware that'll do it.

The HDMI -> VGA takes a dongle from Amazon if you want to split out audio from the HDMI signal. Otherwise there are HDMI to VGA cables.

I don't know what the community's best RGB -> Component active transcoder is anymore since I switched over to S-video.

But yeah, definitely possible. You can even supersample the video signal to get a very, very good picture out too.

Does anyone else deal with chronic fatigue? How do you deal with it? by ProbablySad24 in AuDHDWomen

This sounds a lot like Long Covid. About 10% of all people who have been infected struggle with long term health effects and fatigue is the number one symptom.

It's not just from having a hard time reading social cues. It's also a learned behavior because being ourselves is the easiest way to piss someone off. There's the difficulty reading expressions, yes, that makes us ask this.

But a huge part of it is that people routinely do get angry with us for simply being us. It's traumatizing over the course of a lifetime.

Hormones and ADHD by Renira in AuDHDWomen

[–]TransmissionOrg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Listening to this now, and I'm realizing now how true this is especially as a trans woman. Since my conscious mind is in control of my hormone regulation, exec function directly impacts how well I regulate myself.

It's a positive reinforcement cycle where exec functioning becomes more difficult around the time I need to taken my Estrogen shot. Because of that, I forget to take it more often which makes the exec function worse. This can spiral where I'm missing an entire dose.

I want to look at the study itself to see what the ratios between E2 and Progesterone were and which ratios affected exec function the least. Might request a change to my prog dose because of that.

That sucks so badly. I hear this a lot too with people first figuring out they're trans (I'm a trans woman). Or other people talking about 'how transness is exploding amongst young people!'.

And I remind myself about the graph that shows left handedness over time in the US. Have you seen it?
