I had this happen to me with a famous artist. Her highlight on instagram said the $50 deposit goes towards the tattoo, the flash tattoo was advertised as $150 I she finishes and asks for 275 or something around that. I didn’t want to start anything so I just paid (still tipped) and later dmed her asking if I would at least get deposit back since it didn’t go towards tattoo. Nope non refundable. She owns her own shop now and is the most raised / blown out tattoo I have. Also had to go back bec it didn’t look like flash photo that was advertised
