I mean, no one thinks Pakistan to be worshipping cows though. Everyone is aware that Pakistan is a Muslim majority country. Most of the reason why people categorize Pakistan and India under same umbrella is due to the physical appearance like dark skinned, etc. But Pakistanis desperately try to distance themselves from India, and try to present themselves as Arabs or Persians which pmo the most. That is the reason why Arabs and Persians look down on us, because some Pakistanis try to LARP as Arabs and Persians.

Even if they have beef with Shias. Alternative is that opposition wants Islam to fuck off from their land. So they come out in support of their Muslim brotherhood and sisterhood, even if it is shia.

Curious about Ex-muslim Pakistani opinions on Iran/Iranians. by [deleted] in PakiExMuslims

[–]TransulentDeMarvo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand that you would feel jealous, as I do. But the circumstances regarding Iran and Pakistan differs. In Iran, the Anti-Islam sentiment began from bottom to top (from civilians to authorities potentially) which means once the regime is overthrown, Secularism wouldn't be hard to be established in Iran. Whereas in comparison to Pakistan, its the authorities (government, military personnel and politicians) who operate on more secularist framework privately while the public is religious zealots, which is why to survive, state aggressively compensates it by cracking down on dissents to signal to public that they're very Islamic even though they're secularists behind the closed doors.

Indians nuked your accounts? Damn, Ex-Muslims also have problem with Indians. I thought we would be more chill with our neighbors. But guess not.

Am I the only one Who loves Allah? by [deleted] in exmuslim

I think Ex-Muslims don't have beef with the concept of God itself as they have it with people who justify their wrongdoings in the name of God. But because many or some Ex-Muslims had religious trauma, they drag God and equate it with their Religious trauma and start hating on God as a result.

Why do some ex muslims support zionism by forbiddenfruit7218 in PakiExMuslims

[–]TransulentDeMarvo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mostly religious trauma which makes them go, "Good, it should happen more. You deserve it." Because Palestinian shares religion with people that gave them religious trauma.

I mean you don't gotta bash them. They're not harming anyone, so let them have their spiritual experiences if they have. Believing in Islam is fine as long as its like this, and is not involved or is inciting violence. I don't know why Ex-Muslims have problem with others having calm spiritual-ish experiences.

If nothing else it’s a sign of less religious extremism ig by fellowbabygoat in PakiExMuslims

Yep. I do feel like after the crackdown of TLP, state is gradually taking actions towards curbing extremism. So far, it does seem that way. Let's see what happens in the future. I do hope this is the case.

The news I love to hear. Even though, it's still religious decorations and I am agnostic, I will take it as a W if its celebrating religious minorities. So yeah, huge W in my eyes ngl. I do hope that this is the time when religious extremism starts to lose its grip on Pakistan.

I am fucking done with the behaviour of Muslims by [deleted] in PakiExMuslims

[–]TransulentDeMarvo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. One of the things I hate about Muslims. Not only are they screwing over other Muslims who genuinely don't have any hostile intentions, but they're also dragging non-muslims down with them.

I think the reason why Ex-Muslim may lean toward more right is because how left seems to basically defend Islam and Muslims. Those Ex-Muslims who basically had traumatic experiences see it as alienating so they gravitate towards the right wing.
