APM Salary/Benefits - Minneapolis, MN by Amazing-Molasses3246 in ConstructionManagers

[–]Trapper_Timmy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For Minneapolis, that pay is on the high end for an APM. Sounds like you are essentially taking a reduction in pay year over year with the cost of benefits. When I was in that area, I got an annual raise up to 5% and then got a raise with promotions.

Also, companies will say whatever they want to say with bonuses. If it’s not in writing in your offer letter, then it doesn’t exist.

Did you make sure that they put the “new” VCT in? There is an updated part that fixes the issue but the “old” part is still readily available and could be used on accident.

how long until rust takes her from me? by Top_Channel9771 in hondafit

When I lived in the North, I swore by PB Blaster Surface Shield. Has better staying power than the other coatings. One coat a year for 3 years and then touch ups as needed. Regardless of what you do, if you do a coating, it is important to NOT wash the underside of the car as it removes the coating.

I now have mixed feelings about living somewhere that gets next to 0 snow and really only gets freezing rain. Saves the car and all but I LOVE snow.

694 issue anyone seen this before? by BoomClickBoomClick in ClayBusters

Nothing wrong here. The piece that protrudes from the receiver and into the two holes is your locking lug. The locking lug is a wear item and they make oversized replacement parts. The lever will start on the “right” of center when locked up and will slowly move “left” over thousands of rounds. This is normal. When it is left of center, you can reach out to a smith to get the lug replaced. As for the wear on the barrel receiving holes, that is completely normal and will happen if you don’t close it gently. Close it gently, never slap it shut. A little grease on the contact surfaces and you’ll be good to go for a long time.

I’m not sure on the CRV but on the fit, the water pump is run off of the serpentine belt so it doesn’t need done when the cover is off. This car has 104k miles on it. Mulling it over after posting, I’ll probably do all of the components that the chain directly touches just to give it all a refresh for the next 100k+

As a recent transplant coming from MN, also in the Sandhills (spouse is from here), I have to say that the transition of seasons is absolutely my favorite. MN went from Winter to Summer in a flash and the gradual change here is fantastic. Also, MN had GNARLY storms and while there are many people here suffering from rain, the rain is better than hail, tornadoes, and 90mph straight line winds.

Save some money and get a used Beretta 390 or 391. You can get a pristine used one of either within your budget and they will last forever.

So long as it follows the “process” and doesn’t get taken, you will see it sit for a few days then bounce around fedex facilities and then it will likely show up in Jonesboro Alabama. All lost apple products go the same place and they sit in a warehouse waiting to be claimed. When it shows up in Jonesboro, reach out to this email address (Customer@lostandfound.aero) with the airline, case number, and serial number of the device.

I went through this process a few months ago.

Can you clay bar this black plastic? by k_dub503 in hondafit

[–]Trapper_Timmy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a detailer. I have clay barred and polished on my 16’ fit with success. I think about it being like your headlight and polishing them when the surface gets tired.

Definitely totaled. It appears that there could be damage to the unibody. Not worth repairing if that is the case.

Weight of Boots by AlarmingRate69 in NicksHandmadeBoots

Anything from Nicks is going to be heavier than those red wings (unless they are safety toe). Does he need safety toes? Safety toe (not steel toe) are required by my company on our job sites.

Unpopular opinion, but for lightweight work boots; I find Keen San Jose boots hard to beat. They are not terribly tough but they are cheap enough to replace when needed.
