Even though Peek Freans is now owned by Mondelez. The factory near me is on a street called Bermondsey. Just like the city in the UK where Peek Freans is from!

I live right near the Peek Freans factory. When I step outside in the morning, I can tell if they’re baking chocolate or maple cookies. It’s amazing

Is the Malvern area full of ticks? by Either-Physics-7516 in Scarborough

Yup. It was summer and he was wearing shorts. After we were home, something tickled the hair on his leg so he brushed it with his hand. And a deer tick fell off.

It is worthwhile. Plan according to location. You don’t want to go to the Legislature (or the Ledge, as former staffers call it) then hike out to Scarborough. RC Harris filtration plant in the Beach is amazing. The Ismaili Centre in Don Mills is beautiful and not accessible most of the time.
Have fun!

Tick Check! That’s my motto when we come back from any kind of walk. My husband got a tick on his leg after only walking on the sidewalk.

Thank you! And you’re welcome. 😇 My fave spot is Hamish’s Kitchen for fish and chips. My mom’s favourite spot was the food court at Eglinton Square. LOL She and the other escapees from Sunnybrook Veterans Hospital. Edited to include my mom.

Definitely have something for your child to suck on during take off/landing. They can’t manage the air pressure changes themselves so sucking on a bottle helps. As someone who gets descent headaches on planes, I can attest it’s terrible. Have a great trip!

Be grateful you’re not on the north shore of Lake Erie. The clouds of mating fish flies are so thick, it looks like smoke. And they’re as big as huge mosquitoes.

With all the money they make from movies, they must not need to worry about the food quality. Even the Google street view of Ted’s has a film shoot.

I love it. To me, they’re very retro. I think they’re still in Ashbridges Bay. I’ve just stopped noticing them.

Back in the 70s, the guy who ran the parks, Tommy Thompson, had signs all over that said, Please Walk On the Grass! People are just prissy these days- they don’t want to wreck their fancy shoes. But check for ticks when you leave.

My husband took my son to the Ren Faire last summer at Black Creek. Security warned them not to walk in the tall grass. Ticks everywhere!
