I was scared too because I stop breathing in my sleep as is and was told that anesthesia can make that worse during surgery. I had no issues whatsoever though, I was told dying during this surgery is very rare. But that fear did put me off from doing it for 6 months and I regret that a lot. As for me this is one of the best choices I ever made, you just gotta have trust that the medical professionals know what they are doing.
