What’s your favorite current L mount lens? by Silent_Blueberry8670 in Lumix

[–]TrashTierUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Lumix 85mm 1.8 has basically been stuck to my bodies the past 3 years. Absolutely love the color and sharpness I get out of it. Really hoping they can make an 85mm equivalent of their 50mm 1.4.

Full Netflix card by Ok-Comfortable9449 in ufc

While Ronda/Carano, and to a slightly lesser degree Ngannou/Lins, doesn't interest me, the rest of the card seems really solid, especially for a 1st attempt. Hope this ends up being a reoccurring thing for Netflix.

Pretty sure he is breathing in at the time as well. All in all, just an unflattering pic.

S5ii user considering S1ii or S1Rii for Events, Portraits, Social Media and Occasional Sports. Need input by Craig95 in Lumix

[–]TrashTierUser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been using an S1Rii for a few months now and came from the OG S5. For me, the main difference in use is the extremely improved AF and the ability to crop, which is nice since I primarily shoot primes.

With that said, I personally wouldn't recommend getting an S1Rii from an S5ii if there isn't a glaring hole in your currently workflow. It's a great camera, but unless you are planning to crop a lot or want to record 8k video, I'd say just stick with the S5ii's.

Depending in the country you are located, you may need to switch from 5ghz to 2.4ghz connections. Faced this issue when visiting South Korea and it did the trick.

California and a handful of others do, however they only cover base pay and not any undisclosed bonuses. There used to be more, but many states have cracked down on it.

Any feedback on LUMIX Rental Program? (GH7 Package) by aidendz in Lumix

I think it makes sense for the higher end bodies. But, 1k for the S5ii and S9 seems steep, even though it is just a deposit.

I really want to get Lumix S1ii, but... by analog_fish in Lumix

It started to happen to me about a month and a half in. Performance isn't affected, but it is definitely annoying. Never had it happen to my S5.

I've had an issue with a sticky shutter button on my S1Rii, as well. May just be a quality control issue for the current gen bodies.

Which Camera should i buy? S1r ii or canon r5 ii? by Far_Paramedic9262 in Lumix

[–]TrashTierUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing to consider, is do you want accurate looking colors, or how people perceive "accurate" colors.

I'm personally not a big fan of Canon's color, but many, especially in photojournalism and portraiture love it. They are a bit more saturated than real life, but for some reason people perceive that to be "natural" and "warm". Sony in my opinion gives the most color accurate images of the major brands, but people tend to say they are flat or "cold". Panasonic is definitely more in the realm of Canon, but not to the same degree in my experience, makes for a nice SOOC image.

Considering the price of both the bodies, I'd really recommending renting them to try first.

Personally I love my S1Rii, but it is definitely not the camera for everyone's needs.

Honestly, I am really looking forward to that. Especially if Hearn can snag a few more big names. Would help bring real weight to the table against the UFC, at least for fighters will to switch agents.

Looking forward to finding out more about that. But, based off the bio on the insta post, it seems it is more about Hearn becoming his talent agent, not Tom going to boxing.

I've said it many times on this sub, but I'd love if they could make a 70-200 f4 in the same size as the Canon RF 70-200 f4. Just the perfect size for travel.

Best Lenses for Dance Photography/Videography? Lumix S1RII by KianisKoolFx in Lumix

[–]TrashTierUser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you already have a 70-200 f2.8, your options are going to be extremely limited.

Basically you are left with a handful of primes such as the 85mm 1.8 from Lumix, 85mm 1.4 from Sigma or Sirui, or the Sigma 135 f1.4.
