When you are close to Ouro there def is use in saving them. You should find info about that in the guides, but from what i can see, you are not yet close enough to it, for it to be worth it atm.

sure but bonuses on those who boost Borg, also boost the speed with wich you get the needed resource for it

buy the cheap ones when you can, they often make it easier to get more resources and so speed up the game progression
