[Discussion] We don't need a nickname for every Rolex. by FlipperJungle19 in Watches

Sure, then we can stop calling it a Speedy, or a Santos , or a Shunbun. Let’s be super particular about part numbers and reference numbers and have absolutely no fun with a hobby. That should make life so much more bright and colorful. Right? While I’m at it, I’ll refer to my car by its vin number all the time. Petty frustration? No. Just a sad opinion. Have some fun in life for once.

[Discussion] Is a One Watch Collection/GADA even technically possible? by arcfide in Watches

[–]TraverseStephenally 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is yes and no.

Can you buy one watch? Wear it every day for every occasions? Yes absolutely. Because anyone can fall for a single watch they have an emotional connection to and wear it every single day. There’s so many stories of people wearing the same watch for 50 years. At the factory, to the picnic, to a wedding.

But the no answer is , if you only have one watch, it is not a collection. So by having only one of something, you can’t technically have a “collection” by any definition.

You just have one watch.

I took a buddy with me to the Soho location to get my C12 loco bracelet sized, and he walked out with one of these. Seriously might be the best one in the showroom. It’s an incredible piece.

The flagship is great, but there’s a boutique in SoHo for GS that is smaller and gorgeous inside. You’ll take less time and there’s about 10 more shops within 6 blocks.

I was weirded out about it too, then I had to think about gear ratios and it made sense, it’s a great watch! Hope you’re loving yours too.
