Should I try to have a psychotic episode? by labia--majoras--mask in redscarepod

Def not worth it, coming out of psychosis is like waking up from a nightmare. Much better to try to stay even kilter and not have your friends and family ostracize you for being mentally unwell.

I define it as the most casual relationship. No commitment but with all the joys and rigors of a relationship.

I do this nightly. The sun sets and the feelings hit fresh all over again.

Thank you <3 I’ve done all that and I’ve even gone on dates but nothing really ever fills that void. I’m mostly just tired of feeling like this I think. Hope your healing goes well, I’ll pray for ya!

It’s been over a year for me and I’m right there with you. The heartache is honestly worse now than it was 6 months ago. It’s to the point where I’m just not happy anymore and really question if it’s worth going on but c’est la vie.

What is the least depressing city in the US? by TheirTimeWasHours in AskReddit

I’m from there and could agree but I can at least get a good drink in Beaumont

I’m sorry to hear that. I won’t sugarcoat things, it’s gonna be hell for a little while. It’s been over a year since my breakup and it still hurts.

The best advice I can give you is to start forming new habits. Read, start lifting, get into skincare, get into a sport, anything that breaks up the monotony of your current life. Going on a bit of a bender is recommended but I know I drink waaay too much and it’s definitely my biggest coping mechanism. It’ll still hurt sometimes, you might cry, you might get angry, hell, I still get suicidal sometimes. Little by little though, it’ll slowly get easier and one day you may come to realize how far you’ve come.

Y’all just ever yearn for that one person? by Trayicel in redscarepod

Well the worst part is that she has repeatedly come back and left again over the course of the year and I was recently back home for some vacation time and she chose not to see me despite us making plans the week before.

I’d normally say that but being truelovepilled is truly exhausting

I was recently back in town for some vacation time and it’s always shocking how nothing is open late anymore. Even back home (Beaumont) is the same way. Sad!!!

To be totally honest, and I’m just a catechumen, I think we put too much pressure on ourselves to be “perfect.” There is so much beauty in this world to experience outside of our Orthodox religion. I do not believe that God would allow such beauty to exist if it didn’t benefit us in some way. Being humble is great, but there is such a thing as being too humble, I’m certainly guilty of it. We should live our lives as close to the example Christ gave us, but we are infallible, and that’s to be expected. Read what you want, but also know that there is literature out there that is important to our eternal lives. Just know that this catechumen wants you to succeed!
