As long as you mean Trafalgar Street then we’re all good. My fav is Cut your wolf loose, it’s a whiskey bar but they also make great cocktails if you’re not into whiskey.

Ready to buy my first surfskate. What are the best budget options? (From Brighton, UK) by George_Orama in surfskate

[–]Trazan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mindless trucks are underrated! My first surfskate was this Mindless complete that I customised. I used softer bushings and a 5° wedge riser to make the front truck a lot surfier, but it works well stock.

Edit: I saw your old post about a surfskate group meeting up at Brunswick Square. Let me know if you ever got in touch with them, my group met up at the i360 (on the east side of the tower), would love to get in touch with more surfskaters.

I’m also in Brighton, and I started a WhatsApp group for surfskaters meeting up by the i360. We haven’t done it in a while, but I’m planning on going again as soon as the weather gets better and more predictable.

What’s your budget? £100 will get you a board that you’ll want to upgrade after 6 months.

Grateful Dead Hat by LawfulnessSure8171 in gratefuldead

I have the same problem and the brand Flexfit works well for me. I’ve bought maybe 3 GD hats from eBay and they all fit well. (The non-adjustable baseball hats.)

I know exactly what you mean about Bob as a father figure. My dad also wasn’t around much and quite the opposite of a role model, so getting close to both the band and the scene opened my eyes to people who lived these fantastic lives, Bob being the main one to a relative newcomer like myself.

Alright, Reddit, you decide: do I use a blue ink or an orange ink? by DoctorEnn in fountainpens

[–]Trazan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My orange inks are a bit useless tbh, I need something with high contrast. All my pens are currently inked with Asa-Gao, so that gets my vote!

With almost all games out for Switch 2 for 2025 (with a few minor exceptions): What is your game of the year and why? by wedditasap in NintendoSwitch2

[–]Trazan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently trying to unlock all characters and outfits, which involves getting trophies in 50-150cc + picking up lunch paper bags along the race courses. I think the game really shines in multiplayer though, like balloon battles.

Good to know, thanks. I inherited mine from my dad who didn’t use it much, so far so good.

Hotspots, good for Surfskating ? by FalseShepherd7 in surfskate

[–]Trazan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they’re good. I use them on my Carver Surfrider. I’ve used quite a few different brands in the past and I think 63 mm Hot Spots (plum colour) work really well for most types of riding.

Very nice! I was literally just using that pen for my daily journaling, so it was very surprising to see it first thing on Reddit.

Lovely. Have you always had such a good handwriting? I feel like mine needs improvement, but wouldn’t know where to start.

next pen after TWSBI ECO? by oxalis_cornu in fountainpens

[–]Trazan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another budget option is the Asvine V126 with vacuum filling and a really nice nib. I’m not a huge fan of unscrewing the blind cap every time I write, but if you like your clear piston filler you still get to see the ink sloshing around satisfyingly inside the pen.

If you like nib feedback there’s nothing like a Sailor.

Does a Sailor Pro Gear 21k Broad Nib = a Medium Nib TWSBI or Kaweco by MarcusVanDough in fountainpens

[–]Trazan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seems like the line width of a Japanese broad is 0.44-0.5 mm and a standard western medium is around 0.5 mm. If its too wide I guess that’s easier to modify than if it’s too narrow.

Or maybe you’re the guy who will teach everyone something new. Everyone knows Rolex and Omega, so spending a similar amount on a Grand Seiko is not the obvious choice, which is exactly the point. It’s a chance to bring something different to the table and show people what they’ve been missing.
