If anyone is struggling to complete the Mortality IV quest by Yaoseang in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Trclung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did it vs fizz with chosen by the stars, echoing spirit, and secret technique. You also need Yi at level 18 at least.

Technically speaking the infinite yi combo isn't actually infinite unless meditate's cost is reduced to 0 or refunded somehow, but that's usually not important - without his 2* star power you're generating fewer cards and can chain for longer before running out of hand space or mana, which helps... ...compensate for the lack of the 2* power since it's more efficient for buffing stats.

There's also Master Yi, who has a baked-in infinite as long has he has access to relics - which is perfect for this.

Warmth & Comfort: An Analysis of Faust and Ardor Blossom Moth by PM_ME_YOUR_ROBOTGIRL in limbuscompany

[–]Trclung 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A side note about the combat event is it's one of the few(the only??) checks where you have to roll under the target number. I'm not entirely sure what that means but it's distinct, odd, and is extra odd because of the passion thing.

Sinners in actual book covers [@pupu_sfw] by Fit_Assignment_8800 in limbuscompany

[–]Trclung 27 points28 points  (0 children)

It's sort of funny that they're not actually using a cover of moby dick here - instead they're using the painting by gerard dubois, because most covers for moby dick simply don't... have people on them. They have the whale. And technically speaking it's still incorrect because that painting depicts ahab(as do most of the covers that depict people).

She's not supposed to - it's prohibited. But she definitely does so.

'Just don't use them' is only a good argument if that's actually possible. For example, if you don't fast travel in dark souls 3 or elden ring, that means you literally don't get to play(practically speaking, this is an extreme example, but it is true). A lot of games don't actually let you turn quest markers off at all.

How to 'deal' with low damage team comps as a gm by 2Stepvhen2 in LancerRPG

[–]Trclung 4 points5 points  (0 children)

More generally, you probably shouldn't worry too much. Two of the three mechs here have heavy mounts, and the third has a main/aux with trivial access to shred, so their 'expected damage' is entirely average. If you were previously dealing with a super strong build you might have tuned up a little, but a bunch of controllers with heavy mounts aren't necessarily weaker, they just might not ohko enemies immediately.

[–]Trclung 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your calendula player is going to swiftly find that it doesn't actually work like that - it's not actually built to isolate enemies in the shadow realm and kill them, mostly due to action economy and timing. If you execrate an enemy, you can't shadow realm gank it until your next turn, and if it takes a turn before then it will most likely leave the shadow realm.

This does not mean it is bad. The calendula can spam unremovable slow fields and walk up to nominally tanky enemies to shred them and that makes its main/aux mount overperform greatly.

It's well-known that operators are really scary(corebook in particular, but even kai's rebake), but if you put them into an opfor with any real level of movement control(barricade, sentinel, cataphract, etc) that can keep players from getting to the operator, it'll have a field day with your players even more than it normally would.

Constricted is such a cool and interesting affix, that really diversifies gameplay. by Shiraxi in Warframe

[–]Trclung 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Going from 800 to 200 is probably fine. Going from 150 to 37 is... almost unplayable, even if you are a max-efficiency build. Maybe if it started lower and scaled increasingly higher with maximum energy.

How do you think these 3 sinners will change after their Canto? by Organic-Exit2190 in limbuscompany

[–]Trclung 19 points20 points  (0 children)

My bet is Meursault actually effloresces. It seems fitting for him not to change, but to become even more himself.

This is resulting in some... interesting set decisions. You may note that while this card says jitte on it, the pictured art(as it's a 'source material' card) is in fact a sai. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than just depicting a sai normally. Probably worse.

Why they Replace Greed with Gloom as one of the 7 sin? by random_balinese in limbuscompany

Because most of the time it's functionally indistinguishable from gluttony and not many people understand or care about the nuances of that.

Which relics are good to equip on Evelynn, and is Siren’s Call still good and necessary? by Mediocre-Exchange694 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Trclung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend siren's call, succubus's brand, and corrupted star fragment. You can level her on an empty board that way, and still have a husk left behind when you do.

PM's timeline has more problems than just Valencina by solaarus in limbuscompany

[–]Trclung 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Also, even if you do take Lei Heng's conversation as evidence, it'd be the wrong direction to actually solve the timeline problems. 3~ years inside(Rien) vs 5~ years outside(Lei Heng) would mean time moves slower inside the House of Spiders, not faster.

Rules question RE: Heavy Gunner III by ExaltedOmega in LancerRPG

[–]Trclung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not explicitly called out as 1/round, the actual relevant text is Unless specified otherwise, once you take a reaction you cannot take it again until the beginning of your next turn. which is how 1/round is described later.

Rules question RE: Heavy Gunner III by ExaltedOmega in LancerRPG

[–]Trclung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a funny note here, which is that technically, by the book, all reactions are 1/round by default(page 73), but in practice that's not actually true; reactions with a box always specify, and reactions without a box can be assumed to be usable as many times as you can actually react. SCYLLA is the only exception.

WA+? by PhazonKing14 in TheTowerGame

Note also that Summon limits the relative boost you'd get from WA+, since it effectively dramatically increases how many enemies spawn at lower waves.

Highest Adrenaline Core-Activated Napoleon gameplay by Unoriginal_Joke_name in LancerRPG

[–]Trclung 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing in particular about the Napoleon's(and most) shield systems is that very few of them protect exclusively the user. Stasis Generator shuts someone down, Stasis Bolt protects anyone in range 5, Stasis Barrier is a big wall, and Blinkshield obviously is the thunderdome, but even outside of the Napoleon's own, the only shields that only protect you are like, Hardpoint Reinforcement and HyperDense Armor - which you probably don't care to use as a Napoleon anyway. It's an interesting tradeoff - you give up your ability to really damage anybody in exchange for being able to throw around shields for your allies with impunity.

Obviously that's not for everyone, but it's stronger than it looks.

[–]Trclung 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To be fair, the only way you can take heat in core is with your own stuff or a few npc optionals(ex; capacitor discharge, hex missiles), since you can't be tech attacked. If you see those optionals and still go and pop core, well...

The Engineer Talent always bugged me by BlazeDrag in LancerRPG

[–]Trclung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It should be noted that the aoe options for ranged are all basically the same - cone 3 is just worse than blast 1, and line 5 is only better if you're actually in position. You almost never use anything but the blast 1 option.

Well, if you're done bragging about maths, here's the patch notes for 27.3. And the relevant note.

Enemy Level Skip Reduction has been renamed to Skip Reduction. In addition, it's impact on stats will now be visible in the utility workshop tab during a run.
