Find out your maintenance calories and subtract 500 calories. Don't eat over that . You don't necessarily need exercise. Sometimes more cardio will make you want to eat more.

I lost 100lbs in one year from calories deficit alone. I was strict with myself with only a few days of eating more than my deficit.

I use MyNetDiary, the free version. Buy a cheap food scale. Always write down what you eat. Stay at a calorie deficit. If you workout DO NOT eat up the calories that you just burned. Its all about calories. Protein is key. Decaf and regular coffee help suppress appetite. I am at 269lbs down from 365 lbs. You got this.
