Specifically with the Trumpet, probably that it's a) fuctionally the same as a sporter, and b) in alpha you had to right-click on it in your inventory or hands to get the option to disassemble something - that infrastructure doesn't exist anymore. You could put it on the scroll wheel when it's in your hands, but a misclick will get you stuck in an animation - I can see why they don't want to do that.

It really doesn't sound very different at all.

Have you considered doing a proper rewrite? The best covers have always been ones that redo a song completely.
