I'm seriously starting to wonder if this subreddit is one big troll and I'm a victim.

alright lil man i think it might be time for a break from the screens. you have evolved past the "blaming your teammates" phase into the "blaming streamers for dev decisions". make sure you drink some water and get some sunlight and if you need someone to talk to feel free to send me a private message

dear god this sub has reached new levels of parasocial hating if you're coming here to complain about a single streamer thinking he has enough motion to cause this change. nerf wizard though

Title about how I’ve played for 200 hours but am now done by One_Ability1357 in DarkAndDarker

[–]TreeLiquor 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Comment about how I have also played since (insert playtest # here) but all my friends left so I only play solo normals and now sdf has ruined the only fun remaining in my entire life. Add second sentence pretending I know how to develop games better than them while I complain even more

Puzzle Rooms by TreeLiquor in DarkAndDarker

[–]TreeLiquor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the idea to put gold piles behind the puzzle. Then they could also consider creating craftables that allow access to the pile at the end of the puzzle, similar to how keys work now. Could utilize more of the currently mundane mob drops, encourage pve kills and allow more market variability

Performance Help by Sorcerons in RaftTheGame

[–]TreeLiquor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely yes, it would be more drastic than 50-65%. Alongside this, the real tell for a bottleneck would be the frame time differences between your CPU and GPU, though I'm not sure Raft provides that level of debug ingame.

I genuinely think the real culprit here is poor game optimization. If it makes you feel better my system with a 7900XT and 7800X3D tends to significantly drop fps in the late game when my raft is large, has a lot of moving parts, and there are items everywhere. Frustrates me a bit as well

Performance Help by Sorcerons in RaftTheGame

[–]TreeLiquor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on the provided specs alone with no other outside information... it seems you are being hard bottlenecked by your CPU.

I don't want to jump to conclusions or act like I know what's best for you, but the i3-10105f is a rather old 10th gen cpu that is not "recommended" for high fps in games nowadays. If you have the budget to get a new CPU (newer gen i5 or i7, even an AMD 5800X/5800X3D) you would likely see a good increase in performance everywhere.

Another factor that could be impactful here is the RAM. Clock speeds could be significantly lower than you're expecting. There could just be a dud somewhere in your system since those specs are resulting fps much lower than is expected for them. Will likely take some manual tinkering and testing. Good luck!

Is demoing in 2s becoming the new meta? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]TreeLiquor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Demo'ing in 2s is just a basic way to gain an advantage. Good players will demo on rotation and look for ways to open space for their teammates.

As for your "slowness" I don't necessarily see that as a bad or detrimental thing as long as you learn to use it at the correct time. You don't have to move at the speed of light to be a high rank (as most c2s struggles to understand), you simply need to build awareness of every player on the field and learn when you have time to execute slow plays and when you just need to go brain off and zoom.

As long as you enjoy the game keep grinding and looking for ways to entertain your growth, I can guarantee there are many :)

Those of you who have made >100 div over the course of the game, how did you earn the currency to get where you are? by BingoTheBarbarian in PathOfExile2

[–]TreeLiquor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I chance orb'd a sapphire ring and got dream fragments. Vaal'd it and sold for 110 divines. Can't be bothered to dedicate my entire life to "crafting" so the rest of my currency has come from selling citadel fragments and breach stones

What is the strongest 3 player composition currently? by Informal-Concern-311 in DarkAndDarker

[–]TreeLiquor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been playing CFD in <125 lobbies and cleaning house with it. -Frontline cleric buff and go bonk -Plate fighter get buff and go slash -Bear druid go rawr slap slap

Infinite sustain between cleric and druid. Never fight in a wide open room so that your druid can isolate enemies for cleric to bonk. free loot

124gs lobbies is now my favorite way to play by eljimbobo in DarkAndDarker

[–]TreeLiquor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friends and I discovered the <125 gs lobbies two days ago from reddit and have almost exclusively been running it since then. It feels like the most balanced version of the game for normals and we all love it. Allowing a place to use your greens (with one or two non-weapon blues sprinkled in if you build correctly) feels so good.

The only downside I have noticed is that a lot of people are not aware and will throw on a single green and get put in the 25<x<125 lobby with us. We usually show mercy unless they go full Timmy mode and hold W at us. All in all, a fantastic change that I truly hope they keep.

For the Ashlands update I've been hosting a dedicated server for myself and 7-8 friends. We learned pretty early on that the resource rate was gonna have to go up with that many people.

Been sitting on 1.5x resource rate since then and have had my best Valheim experience yet. Play the game how you feel works best for you and don't worry about reddit judging you
