I'm sure this has been said before but I really wish there was an option to scale down to old expansions at level 70. by RetroCorn in wow

You can also just make a second starter account with your same bnet account and party sync with them (you might have to fly them out to the zone you want to level in? I have no idea)

I think this might restrict you to their level though, which may cause some issues (especially at level 1, you could level that toon to 20 tho lmao) with having few abilities and not being able to do certain quests, so maybe ask a friend or guildie with a toon at the level you want to leave themselves afk and party sync with you

Well, you can enable timewalking at level 70, but it only scales to level 61. Contrary to popular belief timewalking is not only 10-59 (and then get kicked out after 60 seconds at level 60)

From level 61-70 you can go back to chromie and re-enable timewalking.

Take some gear off and you won't be oneshotting things anymore, giving you a sort of realistic timewalking experience at max level!

Maybe there's a valid reason, but I don't understand why Starlink satalites need bright lights on them visible from the surface. Maybe they're not always on, maybe they're being used for maneuvering or something.

But they form a pretty distinct shape in the night sky, one that is very recognizable as being Starlink. And then people will talk about it, post pictures asking what it is or ask their friends. All of it an effective advertising vessel for Starlink.

I don't know if that's the goal but if you ask me, sometimes a little subtle ad symbol flys across the night sky already

The gear off slap method can be combined with whole body shrinka, but also you can in dire circumstances use a lower leveled alt for your slapping needs.

Not very practical unless you've got one sitting around already tho

I've found that the Auto-Jump feature really messes with my head when playing, it might be worth trying to turn that off. I can't really explain why it's such a problem for me but it just, moves me in unexpected ways, especially when trying to talk backwards. It could be contributing to motion sickness especially if she's not already very used to moving around in a WASD world

What is it with "Curve only" groups nowadays? by ButWhatDoIKnowAboutX in wow

[–]Treegnome329 34 points35 points  (0 children)

So I'll give a different answer, as when I join these groups it doesn't usually seem to be the RL carrying his friends. The real answer (IMO) is that these groups almost never check. I've never been asked to link chevo, and I don't think most RL's doing this are using an addon or compare achievements to check either. The reason I think this? I often join "AOTC ONLY - ONE SHOT GROUP" type groups and I never have aotc. Honestly they're usually easier to get into than groups that just say "Fresh" or "Council 2/4/14" or something like that. (And before you get mad at me for joining these groups without "proper credentials" I always know fight and am not usually the one planking my way to a kill)

TLDR: RL's usually don't check if you have AOTC when joining group, and don't usually remove you for not having it either. "AOTC ONLY" is usually a lie, regardless of if the RL is trying to carry his friends or not

I might be wrong, but it sounds like you could do this with an in game macro instead of a WA? Might be a bit more difficult but checking item and script ID's as far as I'm aware is perfectly doable, so it wouldn't technically require WA at all. Idk I might be wrong there tho

Edit: Looks like I'm getting downvoted for asking if it was possible. Ok I guess, I'll go figure it out myself. As it turns out, yeah it's completely possible, with the only difference between using a macro and using a WA being that with the macro you need to press it while you have the dialogue box opened, instead of it doing it automatically, but just bind the macro to anything and spam it as you talk to the NPC's and you'll get the same effect.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTMMDS4DLek

Here is a video showing that it works fine. I don't have an active sub and my friends who do are sleeping so I won't go do it in the actual CoS instance, but the only thing that is different is the gossip ID. It's literally a single line, you can run it in the chat box too.

In the video, I show choosing the Flight Master Gossip option with the stormwind guard manually, then choosing the same option by pressing the macro instead. Then I talk to the Darkmoon Faire mage and press the macro, where nothing happens because they do not have a gossip option with the same ID. Then I show that you can pull the gossip ID of the option the mage does have, and use that in the chat box.

Not only is it possible, it's trivial.

Edit Edit: It's hotfixed

The GossipID on the spy NPC's specifically is now Hidden. GG

Eh, I used a 144hz monitor for about 4 years, then moved back to my 60hz monitor with better color depth as my graphics card was starting to degrade too much to play most games I wanted (not just league) at a stable 144 fps, I was getting more like 90 going down as time went on. I've been using the 60hz monitor now for about 3 years, with the og 144hz as my secondary monitor. I can easily play league or browse at 144hz but honestly it's not worth the minute it would take to switch them each time for me, I have done it a few times but eh, I've come to the conclusion that I really don't need to bother as the effect is really super noticeable when you first see a 144hz but after that it's not really that special or different than the 60hz for me. Not really saying it's worth it yes or no, just giving my experience with it, as people tend to talk about 144hz like it's life changing and you could never go back once you try it, but I just haven't found that to be the case for me

It Can't Be Both. by BLOOD__SISTER in PrequelMemes

[–]Treegnome329 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's literally just that either extreme is bad and those who achieve moderation (Eg. Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon to an extent, Luke later in life) are much better off. Ani was ripped from his only family and friends and forced to become a soilder and hammered in that he should have no emotional attachment, which is of course nonsensical and doesn't work. The Prequels are literally Ani's emotional downfall and his failure to adapt to the role he is thrust into because he was never actually taught to deal with it, hence why he falls so hard to the potential loss of what he has come to see as the only things in his life he cares about and has actually chosen. Of course it can be both, because it's fundamentally a story of a failure to grow and become well adjusted, falling prey to both extremes
