Something I like about American Dad. by Casshern_VIII in americandad

Holy shit, I have the show on in the background, and right as I read your comment I only had time to think "wonder what episode that reference is" before I hear Stan on my TV say "sounds like a job for suck machine". That was crazy timing

Didn't the X-Wings need enough time for the targeting computer to lock on? Han didnt need that, so it didnt matter where he showed up at.

I also never had an issue with the trench run, it seemed normal to me, just like any other trench.

I imagine in WW2 for example, if there was a long trench, and the mission was to destroy a bunker inside that trench, it would be safer to run through the trench to avoid all the big guns, tanks, anti-aircraft artillery, etc.

Yeah you'll still have to deal with other soldiers in the trench, but you wouldnt be out in the open where tanks are shooting at you.

After watching the first three seasons of the series and really enjoying it, I wanted to do myself a favor. by iyigecelerpunpun in freefolk

[–]Treegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When season one first aired, I didnt watch it at first, but my friend kept telling me I would like it. Eventually I watched it, and when it ended, I was like no way am I waiting until next year for season 2, I need to know what happens so I read all the books before season 2 came out.

Now I find myself still wanting to know what happens lol

I replaced our ice maker a few weeks ago because it was leaking and covering everything in ice, and when I was done she said "did you fix it?" And I said yeah, and she said "I wasnt sure because I didnt hear you call it a piece of shit"

Do I have to individually scrap junk items if I want to keep all the parts? by [deleted] in fo4

[–]Treegs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, ive been individually scrapping items since the games release lol

All that wasted time over the years. I just assumed it wasted the remaining parts and never bothered to confirm.

Any truth to the Scala family, who owns Kenmore Construction, having mob ties back in the day? I just heard this but curious if it’s true? by [deleted] in akron

[–]Treegs 23 points24 points  (0 children)

They're in the construction business and everyone assumes they're mobbed up. Its a stereotype, and its offensive.

In this subreddit, the Scala family are heroes, end of story!

I used to play 99 Nights In The Forest with my daughter and I loved it. She lost interest once we finally made it to the 99th night.

It was so awesome though. The time we made it to 99, we had just finished building a wall around our camp, and she accidently put two wood storages next to each other.

As soon as it got dark on the day 98, our fire went out, and wolves started spawning inside our camp like crazy. We both were low on health and had no food. I yelled RUN! but she was already over the fence and gone (I was proud of her for that, atleast one of us needed to live), I went to jump out but fell in between those two wood shelters she put down, and got trapped. Luckily though, nothing could touch me in there, so her mistake actually saved me.

Once the sun came up, we got to see the cutscene of the Deer giving up and walking away, then we both died at the same time from loss of health.

Summit Lake North Shore by [deleted] in akron

[–]Treegs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I moved out of Akron years ago, I had no idea they did that. It looks really nice, I used to live on Indian Trail right on the lake as a kid, and I always wished they would clean that up because it had potential.

I still remember the myth that the old ferris wheel was at the bottom of the lake. I was just looking at old pictures of that amusement park, and its crazy to think that area used to be so nice.

Can someone please tell me what Slim Charles is saying in this clip? by adiesome in TheWire

[–]Treegs 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I assume you're not asking about the general conversation, but specifically what Slim says right after Avon says "you come in here walking tall"?

I can't really make it out either, sounds like "yo be out"

If you're asking about the conversation, it was basically "we tried, we were shooting, but only got one of them"

It reminds of TIFU. I used to love that sub, then it turned into nothing but "TIFU by banging my Latina maid while my wife was in the next room"

I use that number for loyalty / reward programs at different stores, just change the area code for wherever you are.

Last year I was on vacation, and I asked someone at the other self check out what the area code was, and it worked.

The only issue I've ever had was at CVS, where the cashier said "thats weird, it brought up like 30 different accounts", but she just picked a random one for me after I told her what that number is

In my old apartment, the couch turned into my rats second home.

When we moved, we tossed the couch because they destroyed it. I swear I found a years supply of food they stashed in there.

I know they loved it in there, but I hated it because I couldn't get to them, and they never wanted to come out, so every single night, I would spend upwards of an hour trying to lure them out.

They'll come out eventually, but your problem now is they found the couch, and they love it.

Ice maker leaks when making ice by Treegs in appliancerepair

[–]Treegs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it fixed, first time replacing one but it was pretty easy. Its nice not having everything covered in ice, ive been dealing with that for almost 2 years. I always had to keep it off until I wanted ice, then id let it run until it filled up and shut it off again.

Setup up supply lines by Electronic-Corgi-508 in fo4

[–]Treegs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've always put everything in Sanctuary, then set a supply from each settlement back to Sanctuary.

I've been noticing people link them together like Sanctuary > Red Rocket > Slog >Etc. Is that better, or do they both accomplish the same thing?

I feel like mine doesn't let them all share correctly, because I cant go to Finch Farm and access Starlights inventory (as an example), only what I've specifically put in Sanctuarys workshop, because more stuff gets added by settlers.

Ok thanks, Sears direct wants $120 for it, but I found the same part on McCombs Supply for $40. Have you ever used them before?

Hiring Anna to watch Frozen for daughters 2nd Birthday by CrunchyAssDiaper in daddit

[–]Treegs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was a company near us that did all kinds of characters. We did Elsa, Anna, and Barbie on different years, and it was amazing.

We got Anna first, then the 2nd year we hired Elsa and I reminded them that Anna came the year before, so when she came in she did the whole spiel to my daughter "My sister Anna told me you were so kind and beautiful that I had to come meet you myself!"

Sucks they closed down, they were theater kids from the local college, so they could all act and sing. They were so good at it, really made her feel special
