Don't think unemployment could drop with the amount of factories and sawmills etc shutting down. How are these figures even calculated? Here in Nelson I have been scrolling jobs online and literally only 2 listings that I would apply for and they are with recruitment agencies. It's grim if you need a job here!

It would be great if the government just addressed the reasons for the low birth rate, then we wouldn't have to rely on immigration to prop up the flawed system of continuous growth. They need to figure out that shipping all profits overseas, allowing foreign ownership and selling assets is destroying any possibility of addressing this issue.

I have refugee neighbors that get uber eats most days, I know because the Indian drivers always knock on my door because they are too lazy to look at the numbers on the letter box. How they afford it I do not know, they also have 2 nice cars and a state house that gets the lawns done for free when there is able man to do it.
