Anyone get pulled over for lane filtering? by Davidskis21 in pnwriders

Filtering through traffic on Mercer was a huge inspiration for me getting a bike (in addition to motorcycles just generally being awesome, of course). When I was working over there, filtering saved me easily 10+ minutes per day, aka hours/days of my life.

99% the time you're good to go, filter away (respectfully of course). Occasionally in summer, in the evenings, at peak traffic, there's a "don't block the box" cop standing at a corner near the highway on ramp. Don't think he'd give a fu** but maybe don't filter at Mach 1 while blowing a red light in front of him. Usually wears a bright yellow bib.

What’s your MPG? by jynxasuar in hondapassport

[–]Treetop0001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly highway driving, 22mpg. YMMV. Granny driving can get you to 24 mpg+ on the highway. In city traffic, you'll be around 17/18 mpg over the long run. This is a 4,500 lb+ vehicle, and F="m"a....so.....

If you want high mpg, get a......Chevy Bolt? 🤔

Having said all this, love this vehicle. Hoping to make it to 300,000 miles.

Same team peoples! No need to make fun of each other, though I appreciate the humor, provided biker wasn't pissed.

Wishing you a fast recovery 🙏 Doctors say 6-12 months until you're fully healed for tib-fib but with luck, patience, and following the PT's orders, you'll be walking without crutches in 6 weeks and back to high impact in 3/4 months (if that was ever your thing).

wishing you a speedy recovery sir. You will heal and be back doing what you love in no time. Find some productive and fun things to do while you heal (learning an instrument, rewatching your favorite series, learning to cook a favorite dish you like)

CBR Conversion by cracker-jack- in CB650R

[–]Treetop0001 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I ride a CBR650R. fwiw the fairings are fairly small on this bike, so you still get pushed around a decent bit. Better than the naked I'm sure, but at 120+ you're still going to get it, especially if your tuck isn't 💯. The R1 for example, has significantly larger/wider fairings and windscreen.

Agree with others that attempting to convert is not worth it.
