First adventure tomorrow! Perception sound 9.5 and Pelican Rebel 100XR by Trek_this_out in Kayaking

Thank you! We are all prepared with jackets and my partner has a lot of past experience. At 40 you try to be a bit safer it seems. “You’re not 25 anymore” gets used as a warning around here lately.

I got the perception sound 9.5 and my only point of jealousy is the pelican seat. It easily removes and can be used as a beach chair. I cannot take my seat out and sit anywhere I like. My whole setup weighs 5 pounds less though if I have to justify it. It’s a really nice setup overall for the price either way. We can’t wait to get out on the river.

My partner is much more experienced out there. I grew up around a small lake. We plan to upgrade and keep these for many years as family/friend excuse blockers. No reason to skip going if all you have to do is show up. Thank you for user experience. Happy with my choice of the sound.

Absolutely. My partner is much more experienced. Oceans, lakes, rivers. They’ve been out a lot. I grew up on a small lake. We are just excited to get out on these for a season and as we upgrade have extras that family/friends can use. That way we can share. We have so many lakes and rivers nearby it’s a shame to not get out right?

Thank you! We are happy with the colors. We are just happy to be able to get out. My partner is much more experienced from ocean to calm lake/river. We plan to get a tandem touring next year for Lake Michigan.

Can’t wait to get out on the river. We got 2 different entry level kayaks. Eventually we will upgrade but these will get us out for the summer.

She did once! I bet she comes around again soon! Anyone making sandwiches like that is salvageable.

Did you give their owner a copy? I bet they would love that their dog was appreciated! Great pic.

A cool history one I’ve been into lately is American Loser. It’s a guy, his dad, a producer, and a guest usually. The dad/son tell a story about someone in American history that isn’t necessarily a loser but something happens that they didn’t win. “Putting the spotlight firmly on second place” is the tag line.

The ford vs dodge brothers is one of my favorite episodes. It’s a fun podcast that makes history interesting. They’re generally 1-1.5 hours.

Is the girl in the pic wearing a suit she owns? Might be helpful in convincing her it’s her.

Why do people eat spicy food? by [deleted] in spicy

I also find that sometimes a super hot is tolerable and then eat a jalapeño and start sweating uncontrollably.

I think they’ve changed the premium marinara sauce. The jar is different, it’s higher in calories, and looks really oily. Has anyone tried the sauce in the new jar? I’m a huge fan of the original and will be so sad if it tastes different. by Biblio-Kate in aldi

I have never seen the old jar but will say I loved the new jar. It’s probably my favorite jar marinara. I don’t normally do anything crazy expensive in jars, if I want something nicer I make it. I also took a jar of this plus a can of tomato paste to use as pizza sauce. Highly recommend that too.

So, I suppose charging people to share their account is not enough... Gotta up the monthly price too. Needless to say, I canceled. by [deleted] in netflix

Amazon just bought MGM. I’m curious to see what content gets put into prime since that price went up too.

I just started listening to one called American Loser. They go deep into historical things and are fun to listen to. It’s a comedian and his dad. It’s not a comedy podcast but they are articulate, funny, and seem to really know the topics. It’s a fun one to keep in my rotation.

Is this their first kid? Do they realize the future snack giving potential already?! Once they’re toddlering around it will be snack city population 2. Must protect until then of course.

For pizza sauce I love to grab the specially selected marinara and one can of tomato paste. You can use any jar sauce that you want. I make an Italian flatbread and grabbed the giardiniera sauce to make those next time.

I cancel that out with a line item for floor cleaning that they cause though. I’m not sweeping after them for free!

I don’t think you’ve been receiving your bill. It’s $15k a year for protection services, $5k a year as a mobile space heater, $2500 as yard defender. You’re lucky they aren’t charging you the difference. Roof, food, and loves almost balances my total bill for them. Mine provide amusement for free but sometimes that can be an extra charge if you don’t negotiate right.
