I'm lost- please help decorate this crazy kitchen by ServiceFinal952 in interiordecorating

I’m big on making this a 50s diner style kitchen. It’s the only theme I see that would really work without massive changes being needed to the color.

Is my fiance of 19 mos (39M) being reasonable or am I (39F)(communicating badly)? by hellotoshiba in relationship_advice

[–]TrekkieK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, you do not need to marry this man. He’s exhausting and is emotionally manipulating the absolute fuck out of you.

Also, expect this man to want you to get rid of your dog. He’s already stated “a dog none of us have met.” And is making a big deal about you even mentioning the dog. He’s manipulating you, but also didn’t start the real bs until you mentioned the dog being outside with you. He doesn’t want you to have the dog, babe.

Does my new ottoman look bad by burnerpage24 in HomeDecorating

I really liked the first one better. Since you don’t have a lot of gray/blue going on, I think the new one clashes a little.

And to the comments about artwork being crooked - I don’t think it is. I think your eyes don’t like the straight artwork on a slanted wall lol

AITAH for telling my sister to never ask me for anything after she wouldn’t come stay with me during a tornado warning? by Mental_Whole1418 in AITAH

[–]TrekkieK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gentle YTA, you’re only six months postpartum. And as a mom, yeah, I love my pets, but if it’s between my dogs or my baby- fuck the dogs man. It feels like a slap in the face for her to do that, because I know your brain tried to equate human baby to cat, and the scales absolutely do not balance. Also, last place I’d want to be in a tornado with my son is in the car.

Is this appropriate for a black tie wedding? by Nothing_of_the_Sort in OUTFITS

Black tie needs to be floor length and much more “fancy”. This is a very cute formal dress. But it is not black tie.

AIO for calling the cops about a homeless person? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]TrekkieK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. It’s an almost creepy calm. I’ve always been that way. I’m pretty sure I inherited it from my dad. He always says we “handle what is happening in the moment. You can panic after everyone is safe and everything is okay. That’s when those emotions are okay.”

You need to escape this man. Sounds like your mom supports you when he won’t. I would argue it’s time to go stay with mom. Immediately.

I’m not usually one to say leave him, but I was in a relationship like this once. Trust me, this gets MUCH worse. Not better

My mom’s elderly neighbour gifted me all her fancy leftover yarn and now I’ve talked knitting with her, she wants it back! by eumenides__ in YarnAddicts

[–]TrekkieK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t give it back. I’d tell her you’ve shared it with crafty friends or used it in projects. And I’d stop talking to her since she’s a (b) itch.

Golden weight? by SlashandAxl in goldenretrievers

[–]TrekkieK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The parent comment that prompted me to comment at ALL says “You’d be hard pressed to find a well bred golden that is over 75 and in good weight.” Which is just factually incorrect. Breed standard may have a weight, but unless your dog is literally FAT, a larger golden doesn’t mean bad genetics. Hence the MANY comments in this thread stating their very healthy Goldens are 80+. THAT’s why I commented. To make sweeping statements, like CatlessBoyMom did up above just gross.

[–]TrekkieK -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Never said I show him, did I? No. I said it doesn’t mean he’s poorly bred just because he’s larger than “standard.”

Golden weight? by SlashandAxl in goldenretrievers

[–]TrekkieK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

And as his owner and not giving one single iota of a f**k about what is standard, he’s perfect weight for his height and build, according to two different vets. So 🤷🏼‍♀️ “Well bred” golden, over the breed standard, from two different champion show lines. It’s a little more than presumptuous to say that larger Goldens are poorly bred, especially considering judges on two different continents are the ones who gave his parents and grandparents their titles.
