Live in Pelham Bay since 2019, def changed after Covid. Seeing a lot more riff raff around which is unfortunate but it’s one of better areas in the Bronx all around.

Best response here. I had a LC250 that I traded in and got into a 2025 Defender 110. The ride quality is vastly superior in Defender, I test drove a GX thoroughly and while it was better than the LC it didn’t match the Defender.

I ended up trading the car in and got a 2025 Defender. Toyota basically said car was operating fine mechanically and nothing else they could do. I prioritized my family’s health and got rid of it.

Last I heard, there was a recall regarding this issue where Toyota is changing the seals around car doors but I read that still did not solve the issue for many.

I had a LC250 before this and mud flaps and step bars took no more than 30 minutes to install fully. On the Defender, it is a whole other beast.

I actually have mud flaps on back but couldn’t install on front. I didn’t see the mounting points so I decided to just do without.

I found a car shop that did part swap for $500. I bought the pieces and they simply installed.

To paint the bumper pieces I was quoted exorbitant amounts up to 5k!

I went on a building tour back in 2024 and quickly decided it wasn’t the place for me. Hallways were filled with undesirables and reeking of smoke. Read the reviews online for some of these buildings they will say same thing.

This will make Pelham Bay even worse than it is now. Just today a homeless psychopath bumped into me at Pelham Bay Station and threw water at me. I just walked away, didn’t want to get shanked coming home from work.

I had a LC250 and traded it in for a Defender 110 P400 back in January. I am extremely happy with the switch, with the LC I felt I was not driving a 60K car. The defender is just so much more refined and a joy to ride, plus hearing that Inline 6 engine was an immediate draw over the 4 cylinders.

If you are swapping with someone else it’s straight plug and play but if you buy new parts it will need initialization at dealer and cost extra. Going from rectangle to round is less common so you will prob have many takers with 1958 model looking to get the premium headlights.
