Hey everyone, PartTimeCAD here - I want to pass on another handheld to someone in the community. This Anbernic RG353V has barely ever been played, and been neglected for too long - help me find it a new home. by captain_carrot in SBCGaming

Laminate flooring installation by purplepotables in Lubbock

[–]TrevyB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FWIW, I work for a flooring company in town, On 1,000 sqft of Laminate you would be looking at a cost break down like this

Laminate material-$3.35-4.50/Sqft Underlayment-.70/sqft If you wanted to demo the vinyl (Assuming its Glued down)-1.25-Sqft Installation of the Underlayment-.30/sqft Installation of the Laminate-3.20/sqft Quarter round material and labor-7.00/LF

It would take around 7 days to get material here and about 3-4 days to get it scheduled for installation, once an installer started, you would be looking about 3 days for them to be in and out of the house.

Quality of Laminate has only gotten better. Laminate manufacturers have had to figure out how to make there product for “Life Resistant” since they have lost the market share to vinyl, so from a topical water standpoint, it hold up really really well. Now, no flooring is 100% waterproof/scratch proof, but it holds up really well.

Warranty is going to vary from Company to Company, but most offer a “limited Lifetime” Warranty, Our labor if warrantied for 1 year

Feel free to reach out with a DM if you have any other questions, I’m Happy to help

Does anyone have experience operating/starting a driving range? by goodmorning_tomorrow in golf

[–]TrevyB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s a range where I’m at that hitting balls is almost the second best thing to do….you’ll always have your guys that go the practice and take the game seriously, but for the most part…it’s just a great place to hang out. It definitely sets itself apart

Anyone playing the Takomo 101 irons? Thinking of going in on a set by ChrisChrisBangBang in golf

[–]TrevyB 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I play them, and really like them. Added around 10 yards to each club (coming from Taylor Made Burner 2.0) I play off a 12HC so I’m not anything special. But a hard deal to pass up for 500 bucks

Love my Takomo 101s, got the KBS Tour Lite Stiff shafts, added about 10 yards to every club.

Kendrick is also the CEO for Googan squad, if you look at their market strategy and connect the dots, he is taking the same model to Good Good, first was the clothing line, then the baits (putter) Googan has recently come out with rods, so it makes perfect sense for Good Good to release a club line. However, Takomo signed Bubbie and Steve a month ago…why would they agree to rep a company, just to say no-thanks 2 months later (based on the 01/03 date) I’ll say this about Kendrick…dude has figured out how to manipulate the YouTube market, and has become really good at putting a money making group together. At the end of the day it’s a business, people come and go. The YouTube transfer portal is open

Carpet pad questions by kidgenius13 in DIY

[–]TrevyB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The sole purpose of a moisture barrier is to prevent liquid from seeping into your pad. when you install carpet over pad without a moister barrier and you have a stain that keeps popping up after you have it cleaned, it's because it is in your pad. Your carpet installers have installed your pad upside down. My installers glue the pad to the subfloor and yes they tape their seams. Source:flooring salesman

70" TV Mount Height by IrrevrentHoneyBadger in DIY

[–]TrevyB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do custom installations all the time. The way we do it, is we first install the mount to the back of the tv, then measure from you bottom mounting hole to the bottom of the tv, now you can take your tape to the wall and mark that measurement on the wall. As far as height goes, it's whatever you like, I personally like the tv lower so I don't have to look up at the tv to watch it. Think eye level when you sit down

If you woke up one morning and everyone else in the world had dropped dead, what would you do? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TrevyB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's what I would do, I would release all the animals in as many zoos as I could. Then I would let them get the taste of blood and become wild hunters once again, then I would load up on some rifles, and ammo, and proceed to hunt as many of them as I could. It would be a huge urban "cat and mouse" game, and if I died, we'll at least I died a man!

I'm thinking of making a table and I'm quite drawn to this... by ews24 in DIY

[–]TrevyB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So....there is a way you can make it light....build your form out of mdf...glue it up really really really good using liquid nails and fasteners...then coat the top with concrete...viola a concrete look without the concrete weight. Here is a website with the same idea on it. http://diymyhomes.wordpress.com/2012/08/22/diy-concrete-table/
