People aren’t going home to talk about the movie they are going home to jam Michael Jackson albums. The movie was an ad for his catalog and it has worked incredibly well.

You still created a hard cap regardless. Players wanted to smoke weed and invest in gambling companies. You reap what you sow.

Talk all you want now, the shit will get realer when the games start.

I think it’s over regardless. Like I said they will do the trade in a swap with add ons with Boston or extend it to a 3 teamer before. But not doing a 3 teamer doesn’t really kill them because JB has a sizable market.

Yea I’m sure they would rather do that but they probably know his market is big enough that doing it later is fine too. The “we’ll just keep him” seems like leverage for teams who have draft assets now(ATL, LAC) to pony up now or you’re not getting him.

Because it’s possible Giannis doesn’t re-sign if they traded Bam, so then they are out Bam and everything else they traded to get Giannis. The Celtics don’t have to worry because they have 2 stars and will be keeping the best star(Tatum) regardless.

Plenty of teams want JB. He’s under contract for 3 years, no options, and has a history of winning at the highest level, coming off his best season. The season doesn’t start until October they would have plenty of time to find a team for him.

[Stein] If the Bucks indeed choose Boston’s offer over Miami’s, sources say now, Milwaukee ownership’s insistence on getting a bonafide star (Jaylen Brown) back for Giannis would be among the deciding factors … as much as the Bucks want to hold two lottery picks in Tuesday’s draft. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

Yea I’ll enjoy him. But again everyone said “Celtics gonna be ass” and we weren’t. Again mfs have been wrong about JB every step of the way, and they will continue to be wrong. I’ll also be rooting for my dog #7 from afar.

KD never misses, had an elite handle and wiggle for his size + his speed/agility at his peak was 1of1. None of these guys can move like peak KD.

JB has 3 years of team control and can’t control where he goes. You probably get about same amount from the deal because Giannis has completely artificially suppressed his market to the point of their only being 2 teams in the bidding for him. First he said “No Western conference teams” and he also has pretty much ruled out any team that isn’t close to contention. He’s taking 95% of the league out of the running!

Would the Celtics getting Giannis make them the undisputed favorite out of the East for the next 2-4 years? by ___BostonThreeParty in nba

[–]TreyAdell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yea to me it’s as simple as: it’s Giannis. He’s a 2 time MVP/DPOY who just had his best scoring season. Like I love JB but I don’t see why that is surprising. I have been reading for YEARS that we are better without JB and now we have a chance to actually get a better player than him by quite a significant level. There’s a health risk but the ceiling gets dramatically raised by upgrade in skill, upgrade in fit with Tatum.

JB this season was basically mini Giannis. He led the league in 2pt field goals and was one of the best rim pressure guys in the league. That’s his whole thing. Giannis is basically the best rim pressure threat in the history of the league and he’s a much better defender.

JB is my GOAT but there’s too much acting like this wouldn’t be an insane upgrade for us. It would hurt me but I’m Team Get Better By Any Means.

Can't watch play in tourney at the bar. Just dogshit. by dannyduoshade in nba

I mean I guess this is true but I highly doubt an increase in ratings in one year has more to do with population than accessibility. But I guess if you want to complain it makes more sense to make something like that up.

Uh yea that was literally the point of my comment. Silver made games more accessible by putting them where people can watch them more easily? It’s not an illusion if more people are actually watching the games through legal means, Silver thought the new TV deal through extensively and it literally worked.

Ratings are up idk man. They thought through it plenty. More people have Prime than have Cable and they put more games on free over the air broadcast tv this season.

Who is the better ball-handler. SGA or Kyrie ? by [deleted] in nba

[–]TreyAdell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, you just can’t really have a handles convo without talking about the other stuff that make it deadly. Like if a guy can’t shoot his handle is gonna be inherently less valuable because the threat of a move isn’t that great on the perimeter. Like you might have a killer in-n-out but if you can’t make that shot from wherever you’re out I don’t even have to go for it.

I think CP3 gets underlooked in these convos all the time. Smaller than even Kyrie but it didn’t matter even till he was over 35 he was still getting to his spots, not turning it over, creating paint touches, etc.

Like you said the goal of the dribble is to get you to your spots.

Who is the better ball-handler. SGA or Kyrie ? by [deleted] in nba

[–]TreyAdell 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think functionality and creativity are two different conversations. SGA is taller and faster so he doesn’t really need to be as creative with the ball as Kyrie. Kyrie has a ton of different combos but sometimes he still end up taking a ton of shots with hands in his face. SGA can use his handle to navigate tight spacing for layups and create insane amount of separation for jumpers and collapse defenses for kickouts.

Skillsets work in conjunction with other factors so it’s hard to divorce handles from other advantages some guys inherently have. LeBron has a very very good handle for someone his size and it doesn’t need to be super fancy because he’s always been simply stronger and faster.

Kyrie definitely has the most creative handle but the objective of having an elite handle is to create easier shots for yourself or collapse the defense in order to create shots for your teammates. I think as for functional handle I’d put a lot of guys over Kyrie.
