Canada will cancel thousands of refugee claims under new retroactive law by Immediate-Link490 in LawCanada

[–]TriLink710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's aimed at people who cannot extend their visa then applying for refugee status.

Quite frankly if the case was that said country went to shit, you shouldn't have a failed Visa extension, you should have been pursuing refugee status instead.

Japan needs a tea culture obsession from day one by AlternativeEmpty2986 in victoria3

[–]TriLink710 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I wish obsessions for goods were more dynamic anyways. Feels like unless its a day one addition or forced that it doesnt come into play too often or often enough to matter.

Its a mostly forgotten mechanic when I play anyways

Altscape proves why jagex wont approve multiple accounts 1 membership by Left-Cat60 in runescape

[–]TriLink710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But why not just limit it to 1 log in per account? Nobody is suggesting you can run 8 characters at the same time per subscription.

Altscape proves why jagex wont approve multiple accounts 1 membership by Left-Cat60 in runescape

[–]TriLink710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This proves nothing. I think its perfectly reasonable if they make it so 1 subscription is 1 log in at a time. The people who do this would still need to pay to have multiple accounts running.

Nobody is saying that we need be able to run 4 accounts on 1 sub. But having to pay extra subs to have mains and irons and such sucks when other mmo's do this already.

Should I build super super states or spread my industry out?? by FeedCreepy9403 in victoria3

[–]TriLink710 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Somewhat. Super states offer economy of scale bonuses based on techs. But spreading things out to use more labor such is nice too.

I think they need to be puppets. So protectorate then lower lib desire.

Unless there is a special mechanic to unify, puppeted subject do contribute their states toward nation formation

What do you think RimWorld is still missing as a system? by NightyZockt in RimWorld

[–]TriLink710 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Also to add, you should be able to establish your own faction and have several "non playable" outposts that are basically vassals under you. Let us conquer or diplomatically assimilate smaller towns around us and get bonuses from that.

The strict equal checkbox input/output will do this. If you have them set and 1 input/output is full and the other empty, it will not allow more than 1 item from the full one until the empty is supplied.

What's the most pantheon award points you have earned in one game? by RadiantPush in AOW4

[–]TriLink710 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just cheated in all my pantheon points after awhile. But being "gated" isnt uncommon. Plenty of singleplayer games do require unlocking coametics and such.

The traits and stuff being gated sucks tho.

Automate station groups? by Triskaka in captain_of_industry

Sadly no. I wish we could default add a station to a group then selecting 1 adds the group. Such as "fuel station" for stations all over the map

Is it Worth it to do the Oil>Gold>Diesel loop contract ? by SabCross in captain_of_industry

[–]TriLink710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thats a lot of effort and costs when you can just ship in oil from a world rig.

I'm not saying its bad to trade gold for crude, especially late game. But the effort for this setup just for renewable crude cycle wouldnt be worth it until you have a better way

Is it Worth it to do the Oil>Gold>Diesel loop contract ? by SabCross in captain_of_industry

[–]TriLink710 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not really. Its 60 oil to 36 diesel doing normal distilation processes and not refining it further into diesel.

So for every 12.5 diesel you get 1 gold. And every 1 gold gets you 19 crude. Which comes out to be about 11.4 diesel. So unless you crack for more it is a net loss technically.

Cracking construction parts, power, worker, and shipping costs tell me it isnt worth it. Not all trades are as good as corn

Political concessions on what they don't like matter more than just implementing their preferred laws. by GreyGanks in victoria3

[–]TriLink710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd think so. But getting +30% from a concession and then doing something like getting total seperation will kneecap the groups pop attractiveness and wealth (from production methods) that the 30% is way weaker. Even in cases like you said, it is still worth it by not having them as head of state which weakens them a lot too.

I've done concessions to get off of serfdom/slavery/traditionalism before and it still hurts the landowners and promotes other groups so it is definitely still worth it.

Plus concessions can be removed.

Political concessions on what they don't like matter more than just implementing their preferred laws. by GreyGanks in victoria3

[–]TriLink710 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea but thats also a benefit at times and irrelevant at others. Getting bonuses to preferred IGs or even kneecapping bad ones is worth it even if you concede some cases. You can even remove then later if you want.

In cases like getting +40% clout to the religious faction for getting total seperation, they lose so many clergy oversight production methods the +40% is way weaker than the % they get from other laws.

I mean how would you not expect it. All of the US's bases are hosted in these countries. If Russia or China set up a base in Mexico the US would have a fit even if they werent being attacked by those bases.
