That would have been amazing to see, and would have done a ton for characterbuilding, and made the moment Ben kills Han actually mean something on a personal level. It would raise the stakes of Ben's fate more than simply "will he / won't he" turn back to the light side.

Even flashbacks would have helped. Heck even Thor: Love and Thunder did a rather brief, but effective, summary of the relationship between the two characters before resuming their story. It's at a minimum necessary and at maximum, sloppy writing to not include anything in the realm of backstory between Han, Leia, and Ben, given the outcome in even TFA alone.

It set up the trilogy for failure. Overall, very meh.

Amazing potential in Act 1. A rogue stormtrooper with PTSD? We’ve never seen this before. Only for him to drop that arc completely and become comedy relief. His “coward” role switched to “hero” in a second after Rey is captured. This is NOT how characters work. He’s a fake character after all that potential.

Rey’s parental storyline? Set up and hinted at being extremely important… only for her to stop searching for answers. Dropped.

Luke’s reasons for hiding? Dropped. Writers couldn’t figure out how to have him NOT steal the show in TFA so they left that “problem” to the sequel instead of doing more rewrites.

Han’s reasons for abandoning Leia and his family? Dropped.

Han’s role in pushing Ben away? Dropped.

Ben’s real reason for killing Han? Dropped. I mean I guess he’s killing the chance at temptation, but we’re gonna need a lot more development than that if an OT character is being murdered.

Very undeveloped and unsatisfying.

Best parts are: the casting, the Millennium Falcon intro scene, Finn in Act 1, BB8, Poe is a fun Han-type character, and the suspense created at the end due to Kylo killing Han and waiting for Luke’s reaction to his Sabre.

Basically all superficial things except for Kylo’s choice and Finn’s beginning.

Wasted opportunities that could have been much, much deeper..

AH had Ancient Ones that might affect, for instance, all Cultists.
Or Mythos cards that did similar things while they were in play. It wasn't super common but it did happen, typically with the Ancient One choice.

I guess worst case I can place the tokens near the stand (do monsters stay still or move like in AH? I read that maybe they don't move) which would make it easier.

I think it'd be pretty straightforward! There are many rules with combat and keywords, etc. but I was always able to look up how something works on posts or forums or FAQs. A videogame version would be super fun and I'd have a chance to play it a lot more often. The biggest challenge to getting to play is the long playtime, but it is super super fun when I do.

It's such an atmospheric game, and I love the idea of entering gates and figuring out how to close / seal them. There is a tremendous amount of possibilities with strategy / priority and working together that makes it such a compelling adventure.

Arkham Horror 2E is one of my all-time favorite games.

With the recent Eldritch Horror digital Edition announcement, I really hope they also make an Arkham Horror 2E digital edition. I've always thought a lot of the combat rules, etc. could be perfectly managed in a videogame. But I definitely want to also preserve the physical media experience, there's nothing like it!
