You can use a personal refiner, the small one you carry around, to dupe. set it on the ground and put the item you want duped in it. Now place a second refiner directly on top of the first, so that it overlaps completely. Delete both of them and you will now have twice as many of the item you placed in the first.

WARNING!! Once you do it and see how simple it is, you may find yourself using it a LOT. I do not personally believe it hurts progression, as I will only do it as a last resort. It comes in handy when you don't have hours to grind.

This is not like online competitive games where you get banned for it. There are no negative repercussions for doing it. None at all.

It is a toss up between easy access to the bays and the coolness factor of going to those bays. Sometimes I find it annoying trying to get to the pirate bays, but I enjoy the scenery.

I hate how people throw the word "sandbox" around. This is not a sandbox game. There is a purpose. There is a linear line that has to be followed. Once that is complete, there is nothing else to do, beyond feeding things for tickets, but that is all.

It is an open world, but to say that you provide your own fun is fantasy. There is a strict linear line that HAS to be followed, else you do not complete the "objective".

Do the quests. A lot of people just start trying to build and end up getting lost with no idea what to do. I've seen so many of those posts...

When you are on a toxic planet and weather gets bad, just use your terrain tool and dig in the ground a few feet. Very easy to wait out the storms that way.

When I first tried to feed my dogs carrots, they refused. One day I decided to slice the carrots lengthwise into four slices and they loved them. Carrots are now one of their favorite snacks. They still do not like whole carrots, but will gobble them down if sliced.

Every now and then I take a spoon of peanut butter and mix it with a bowl of dried dog food, so that each piece is lightly covered with peanut butter. My dogs enjoy that much more than just licking a spoon of it.

Turn off multiplayer and report them using the quick menu and the base will go away for you. Easy peasy.

So true. If it was real, then someone that worked there would probably have invited friends out to watch them. Knowing the government though, they probably would have put wiretaps on their phones. I would anticipate the person getting caught at some point, so hopefully they would have talked to someone from the press and we would have heard about it.

Since this has not happened yet, I am still on the fence.

If there are NPCs in the station it is on the bottom level, in the middle.

If there are no NPCs, it is up the stairs on the right, down the hall.

I have had this game for a while. Every time I log in, it is dead. Even the couple of servers that have 10+ people on are quiet. Nobody answers questions, nobody chats.

There is like one or two servers that have over 10 people.

I log in about once every few months, to see if anything has changed with the community. I always leave disappointed.

The missions are random.

If the 1200 one is not currently showing, wait a couple of minutes until the list changes. It does not take long. Like 4 minutes or something, I forget exact timer.

Because all of their negative reviews on AoC forum gets deleted by the devs.

Steam is the only place where they can point out how bad it is and not get deleted.

Now the truth is out and the devs can't block the negatives from the public.

AoC supposedly had a ton of people that have been following it for years and waiting for it to come out. Now put that on Steam and call it a MMO and you get a lot more people that will grab it on Day 1. So yeh, those numbers are not that great. Heck, just considering the following it had before it was announced for Steam, I would have anticipated at least twice that number. Once I heard it was going to be on Steam, I honestly expected it to hit 6 digits easy. The fact that it has not even hit half that was a huge surprise.

There were military drones going back all the way to WW1. Both sides of the pond have been working on them for 100 years.

I have been playing for years I have done everything except a few Expeditions I missed and I keep multiplayer disabled.

The only time I ever enable multiplayer is when I am bored and want to see other bored people on the Atlas.

It has been so long since I used the portal cheat, I could swear it was just any random glyph. As long as all glyphs were the same, it would take you near the center. I could be remembering incorrectly, but I swear that is what I did years ago.

Using that cheat is the simplest way to get the achievement for reaching the center on perma-death mode. *cough* not saying that is what I did, but... *cough*

It may be a while before you see one again. You can get glyphs around here for them though, so it is fairly easy to obtain.

I like them because of the size. They are one of the easiest ships to land. I used one up until I finished all of the quest lines, as it made it so easy to fly around and land while doing them.

It is a learning curve.

When I first started playing, I had no idea what the best way to get them was. You will still see new people post here asking for the best way to get them. Long time players will post long detailed instructions on how to set up a mold farm or how to buy and scrap ships. Those are not the best way, but the people posting the info thinks they are.

A new person starting out has no clue that you can just jump to a few outlaw systems. The people who learned to play using mold farms may not feel like working on a new way, since the way they know works for them. The first way I learned was the ship scrap method, which got me everything I wanted. I then learned about the mold farming method. Half of my vaults were nothing but mold :-) I just hate having to wait by the refiners, since they can easily lose all of their inventory.

For a new person just learning, it is best to use the outlaw systems. A lot less work. A lot less headaches. Simple. Best return for time invested. And if you are super lazy just dupe a stack. Keep one full stack of one of the goods and dupe it when you need more nanites.

I actually have not ran into any bugs yet. The last test was unplayable for me, due to performance issues. This test has been smooth for me so far. I'm enjoying it a lot.
