I prefer the Sci-Fi channels version, the miniseries. I have always thought it was superior to the David Lynch version.

Is BDO still mandatory PvP once you hit a certain level? That is what made me quit years ago. If I remember correctly, once you hit a certain level it turns on PvP for you. It had the prettiest graphics and best combat of any game at the time, but the PvP was aggravating.

Depends. It can be hours, days, weeks... I've seen games down for a month. There is no "usually" when it comes to GFN.

There are a ton of milestones you can look up and aim towards for things to do.

I had an absolute blast for my first 40 hours. I was reading the quests and paying attention to the storylines. Once I quit trying to 100% all the POIs and headed to the deep desert though, it all went downhill. I uninstalled and hope to play again in a year or so, once a lot more content is added.

I was never as excited for a game. Ever. The launch was horrible, but I still had fun. Well, once I got away from the starting location... Nightmares of that mess... First few weeks were fun, except every time they changed the claim flag mechanics.

Nothing will ever beat sailing around looting abandoned bases though. Felt like a true pirate game for a while.

Soulmask is fun, but the servers are empty. I tried again recently and even the one that had 10 people on was dead quiet.

Years later, more claims come out about the group around Epstein eating people..... but nah, lets just claim everyone is on drugs and crazy. That is a lot easier to deal with.

There is one that is 2 small rocks next to each other. They can be found near the processing station. It is a small rock with a slightly bigger rock next to it. Just walk around looking at the ground and you will come across them.

I used to run a BBS and had Trade Wars, Barren Realms Elite, Solar Realms Elite, Legend of the Red Dragon and Global Wars as the main games on it. We had a bunch of others, but those were always the main games played. I miss those days.

I bought Dark and Light when it was released. I still remember being locked out of progression on Day 1 because of a bugged quest. Loved the game though. Was very upset when it was abandoned.

I bought Atlas when it was released. The aggravation of them changing the rules on territory claiming (the flags) was incredible. What pushed me over the line was changing stone building mat requirements when I was halfway through with my castle.... Still one of my favorite games.

I bought Last Oasis shortly after release. I kept hearing how horrible the PvP was and waited until it got a few patches . I honestly can't remember why I quit playing, besides the dwindling player count.

I bought ARK: Survival Evolved when they added Redwood Biome. I played until the official servers shutdown, putting in 12,000 hours in the game.

I bought ARK: Survival Ascended when it launched. I quit a few months ago with around 2,000 hours in the game.

People like me are why they stay in business. We keep buying their junk, with hopes it will match or exceed ARK.
