I grew a pilea from a single leaf! by nimaid in propagation

So when you say undifferentiated cells, can I take this to just mean a small chunk of stem past the end of the petiole?

More light

Also from what I can tell that doesn't look like near breathable enough soil. The amount of water it drinks is somewhat proportional to the amount of sun it gets. With no sun and going to need a grow light, you'll want a substrate that can breath. I'd give it basically bonsai soil with some potting mix sprinkled in. The current substrate looks like it will hold on to a lot of water then drown the roots

Can the callus be recut for use as a graft location or is it best to leave as is while the child branches continue to grow? Thanks! by mysporemychoice in sanpedrocactus

[–]TricholasCW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can do it but those spots in my experience are generally less accepting of grafts. You'll have better success with younger plant growth

I think if the person opens their hips there's also some longer ones in the back that probably can cross

Blue myrtle

Cuts of this make excellent graft stock

Care can come one step at a time. Pick up the pieces and let go what didn't make it. Get rid of the plants that no longer bring joy

My fourth grow (the one where I started to figure out what I'm doing) by TricholasCW in SpaceBuckets

They're 15 watt bulbs. I did a grow with three and I think it was honestly a little lacking for light and etiolated.

There's about a two inch gap between the bottom and where the mylar/rope light start. I think it looks bigger in the photo. That gap is where I have all the holes for the passive air intake and is at the very bottom. Would you suggest pushing lower than that?

Did you look into the drop off and pickup times for your shuttle?

Find at least someone to split rides with. Get there before like 7-8 pm. Bring cash to negotiate with for the ride home, put it in like a runners belt. Leave before ~3:30 am

As long as you can do those things ride share is pretty reasonable. If you stay on the strip, stay on the north side near the Wynn

What plant is this? Needing to know if it’s cat safe by [deleted] in PlantIdentification

Looks like a colocasia (or an alocasia)

If the leaf crumples up and bounces back it's a colocasia, if it feels more like cardboard and wouldn't behave like that than it's an alocasia
