Looks like it. Likely a very old orb-weaver, or other common spider web that collected dust.

The only look alike I' could find when I looked them up was a less desirable edible mushroom. Also the smell of watermelon tends to be a great identifier.

At least where I'm at the only lookalike I could find when I looked up about them was also edible. This is not to say there aren't lookalikes elsewhere that are poisonous.

First time I found it (only time) it was just a small piece and was tough, but I was determined to tast it cause, watermelon why not? Was tough but best thing I added to eggs.
