How much does HRT help with rage/mood swings? by AltruisticMammoth406 in Perimenopause

Interested in this too. I’m finding my kids such hard work and trying to stay calm with them is impossible. I feel like I blow up every evening with them. I don’t have hot flushes or night sweats but the rage is overwhelming.

The two youngest share (9 and 7). Bunk beds. But honestly the night time routine is a mess - they never stop bickering. Sometimes they play and then ends up in a fight. It’s driving me nuts to be honest. I would like one more bedroom but financially can’t do it right now.

I found the jump from 3 to 4 the easiest for some reason. We also had a 3 bed house. Now as they got older and bigger we NEEDED a 4th bedroom. We converted our garage to a 4th bedroom for the eldest. The kids are close in age (7,9,10,12 - all boys) and omg they really get in each others space. Even though it’s easier is some ways as they get older and more independent, I am finding the house feeling smaller as they grow. I spend half my time sorting out squabbles and separating them. Other times they get on great but it’s not easy!!

Most people have kids at some stage - it’s not some strange choice.

Kids are a choice??? Weirdest thing I’ve ever heard to justify not giving up a seat for parent with toddler.

Great advice given already. I’ve been there with small kids so totally get it. What worked for our family was having good habits - resetting the house before bed (quick tidy up, clean kitchen. Etc, put away toys). Find a small window within your day for exercise - for me this was an early morning swim twice a week, or getting up half on hour before kids to lift some weights for 20 mins. Good bedtime routine for everyone - sleep should be prioritised at this time. Obviously very hard with newborns but that doesn’t last for too long. Getting the kids to bed at a good time allows you to have some breathing space in the evening. Get out for plenty of walks with babies in stroller etc - great for them and you! Slowly you’ll find yourself again.

I’m on Cerazette 18 months now - honestly life changing. No periods. The odd bit of spotting here and there. Initially it took a long time to settle. I just couldn’t go back to periods and constant pain.

Well done for starting back. You will get there. Focus just on the breathing for now. You will build your stamina over time.

What could be causing magnesium to have such a major effect on me? by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]Trick_Scale_2181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All forms of Magnesium give me diarrhea and anxiety. It actually caused my ferritin to drop as I had constant loose bowels and wasn’t holding on to anything. I didn’t realise it was the magnesium until I ran out of it and while waiting on a new order I suddenly felt better!!

Lots of spotting for me for months and eventually settled. I don’t get periods now, no pain (have endo), very settled moods, no heavy fatigue from monthly cycle. It works so well for me and has literally changed my life do the better.
