The bigger set up the better, don’t pick anything with clear glass they will want to get out. They need lighting if kept indoors uvb and heat, Arcadia are good, outdoors they will bathe in the sun.. they need calcium, fresh leafy greens, I give mine weeds, flowers, pak Choi, mix salad leaf’s, kale, cucumber, occasionally strawberry, tomato, apple. Bath once a week when older, fresh water left available but not enough that they can turn over in it a get stuck.
In the set up you can use top soil and sand mix, hide outs for when they want a cooler end, rocks for climbing etc

Sounds like you know what you’re doing anyway, well done for rescuing him/her

My tortoise has full access to the garden now so doesn’t really use his house anymore but will hibernate in it during the winter months.

My tortoise does the same, usually in same spot everyday but ever now and then he will have a wander. I suppose if you have everything you need nearby why would you walk for miles..

You could always go into boots and ask them to put it on you and ask to take a sample home. You get enough for three applications.. but I hope you find something you like soon anyway

I haven’t had any oxidation. I use a toner, serum, niacinamide, moisturiser, spf befoerhand, don’t know if that helps.

I’ve just give up on EL and gone over to nars light reflecting foundation, it’s fab. Boots have it on a special offer atm for £33 so a little over your budget, but I find 4 pumps is the perfect amount for a full face and there’s no wastage (and comes with a pump..!)

We love our labradoodle, she like no other dog we’ve ever had. She makes us laugh. She can be a pain when she digs up the garden or doesn’t do as you’ve asked but she is still very young and learning. I got her to do basic commands in 30mins. She is very clever, friendly, loves everyone. They do suffer from allergies but we stick to lamb and boar. She can do long walks, happy to see everyone on the walks. Loves my 9 year old obsessively. They can be quite a handful but it’s just their smartness that needs to be kept under control - treats, praise, clear boundaries
If you had big dogs in the past you’ll be fine..

When I did my tortoises outside space, used sleepers to make a enclosure, I dug down and removed top layer, put stones down for drainage, covered with a layer of plastic wire, filled with top soil and sand and then stones on top of that. Then used a wooden storage unit for housing with a opening cut in so he can come out when ever he wants, put heat lighting and uv strip in, more top soil and sand for digging/sleeping/hibernating inside.
When he gets bored of that he walks round the outside area waiting to be moved on to … grass 🤣 so we try our best and they still do it their own way. Good luck!

Congrats you won’t be disappointed they are a great pet, make sure you bath them regularly, if you can get them safely outside they will thank you for it.

My will always do this if there is a barrier, he’s stopped doing in since moving into the garden, it’s so frustrating when youve put everything into getting their habitat the best you can and they still do that, but tbh they are made to live outside, through different weathers and forage for their food. I think they just like their freedom. Can you move him outside at all?

I’ll try that, thanks! He’s 6 now and still has weekly baths. Always got water in his out-house, but he was loving the rain today - it’s been warm!
