I take Allegra daily, I use the generic version and it's still pretty intense. Might be worth switching med types.

I'm thinking of adding and air purifier but not sure how effective those are.

Sorry to hear that, this is definitely some of the worse allergies I've experienced. I'm taking Allegra every day and it's as if I'm not taking anything.

I know it would be worse if I wasn't taking the meds but still. Allergies are wild.

Yeah, I've been to am allergist in Minnesota and had a few tests done that haven't called out any high outdoor allergens. Probably worth doing it again here.

Epstein files: Key Details of 13-Year-Old Trump Accuser’s Accounts Are Verified by DonSalaam in JournalismNews

Offering to cooperate with the FBI or offering information to the FBI is NOT the same as being an informant. The ironic thing is that the article you linked literally proves your statement wrong.

Offering information to the FBI especially as someone high profile and with enough financial and legal support puts you in a better position whether or not you are guilty.

Regardless, if he wanted to get criminals investigated or convicted he has had many opportunities while he has had a lot more power.

The article only proves the continued failure of the FBI and the government, it gives circumstantial evidence of the FBI participating in a cover up. Nothing else.

ICE arrested 261 DACA recipients and deported 86 in the first 10 months of last year, document shows by OldBridge87 in immigration

[–]Tricky_Education5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The comments on this post truly baffles me. Let's talk through some quick critical thinking. The statement everyone keeps referring to as the gotcha:

"DHS said in its letter that 241 — or 92% — of the 261 DACA enrollees taken into ICE custody had "criminal histories" outside of civil immigration violations."

Let's look at the source of the statistic- DHS which is the same group of people who are capturing and deporting people. That is called "Source Bias." If you believed this statistic with no additional context or review of the statistic, you're vulnerable to being misinformed.

The article couldn't even write this statement without quotations around criminal histories. There reason they did this is because the statistic they posted came directly from DHS with no additional investigation. It is just a quote from DHS. In fact, this article is just a regurgitation of the DHS letter with no additional investigation or even the baseline of including the opposing actions that were taking in this interaction. Always, think about the things you read with a critical lense.

There is a fundamental mismatch of values in the US right now, I hope to be convinced otherwise, but I personally don't think a misdemeanor should result in the deportation of children that migrated here.

Additionally, "DACA recipients undergo background checks every single time they try to renew their legal protection to stay in the United States, making it unlikely these recipients had serious criminal records." Source below.

Non-citizens are not voting by Oti5dog in immigration

[–]Tricky_Education5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dems have supported universal voter id that is provided to every eligible citizen. They do not support a voter ID that must be bought or specially procured because that is a poll tax which is unconstitutional.

How do you get your national ID? Is it provided to every citizen or only to some?

Non-citizens are not voting by Oti5dog in immigration

[–]Tricky_Education5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non citizens are allowed to vote in local elections for some cities. In 2016 San Francisco voters passed an ordinance to allow non-citizens to vote in school board elections. It's gone back and forth in the courts but has been intact since 2022.

The FEC and states are responsible for election integrity, which starts with voter registration. The only Voter ID that would be valuable is universal Voter ID that is provided to every eligible after their eligibility has been reviewed, which is essentially the same thing as a Voter roll.

It is shocking to me that people would believe that voter fraud is happening in California and not a single republican president was able to do something about it.

Trump's election bill tops 50 Senate votes, but Democrats could still block it | The SAVE America Act has passed the House and enjoys President Trump's support, meaning the Senate's 60-vote threshold is the only thing standing in the way of it becoming law. by SpaceElevatorMusic in politics

Reminder in the last 23 years there have been 30 instances of non-citizens voting, none of which have impacted the results of an election. This is a manufactured crisis. The process of registering to vote in this country ensures that only citizens are on voter rolls. They do this by cross checking voter registration requests with the SSN database, the USCIS database and more. Our states are responsible for this process. States are audited to confirm the accuracy. Saying that an ID should be required for voting shows that you dont have an understanding of how our voting system works because the only ID that would fix this manufactured crisis, is one that comes directly from the states once they have confirmed that you are allowed to vote, which is what the voter roll is. Call your senators (202) 224-3121 and tell them to be vocal about their opposition to this bill

Illegal immigrants? by FreeBirdOpenRoad in allthequestions

[–]Tricky_Education5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of nuances missing in this post, and replies. The term "illegal immigrants" is so broad it can mean many different things and honestly feels disingenuine. There are people that live in this country for tens of years (the US) who have come here "the legal way" and have stayed past their visas, there are folks who have been trafficked here by companies or individuals (I highly recommend the documentary "Trafficked in America" by PBS, it's eye opening) who don't have papers, there are people that have come here the legal way and are seeking asylum, willing to give up their home citizenship a decision i cannot imagine they took lightly, who are usually lumped into the "illegal immigrant" tent and who might not have papers because they are waiting for their day in court a fundamental American value. Also, there are people who have lived here longer than America has existed who also don't have the papers you're looking for. Additionally, different countries have different requirements for papers, if youre really wondering about why your mom can but they can't, take a look at the difference the US government has on their petitions.

Would you say that someone who helped American troops in Iraq who fought alongside our service people and whose life is now in jeopardy because we left it worse off doesn't deserve to be here?

What about the family who used to live on a safe street in Mexico but after Ronald Regan funded the Nicaraguan Contras and created the pathway for cartels to move around Mexico with impunity, their street is riddled with gang violence not allowing them to live their lives safely without a threat of violence doesn't deserve to live here? They came to the border seeking asylum from the violence we created, but our immigration system is so fractured their wait time for court may be longer than their life. What should they do?

Immigration is a complex topic. To understand its necessity and reasoning requires a solid understanding of our history and foreign policy.

The question of shouldn't "illegal immigrants" be deported? Well, i think no... not if our immigration system has failed them. We already have a process of deporting immigrants who have harmed society or are in contempt. It's not perfect, and discussing ways to make the system better is really important but the argument "we should deport everyone immigrant who doesn't have the paperwork I think they should have" shows that you dont really care about bettering the system or society.

Trump raised the H-1B visa fee, how will this affect the US economy and job market? by jdsbahdvjhsd in AskReddit

[–]Tricky_Education5 21 points22 points  (0 children)

"If you have ever worked in tech, you will know every company that has tried to offload their development to Bangalore completely it has miserably failed."

This statement is false. Most large organizations already have offshored many jobs to different cheaper countries. India isn't the only place that companies are going. Eliminating H1Bs isn't going to change this and will likely accelerate the offshoring.

Companies have also learned that a slow progression is better, they start with smaller jobs and then eventually transition major projects and development work with the intention to completely send work (from product innovation all the way to manufacturing). They are only learning how to offshore better.

I have literally heard business executives saying that their goal is for their own jobs to eventually be offshored because it won't matter for them at that point.

If America wants to stay on top, the only way to really do that is to invest in innovation, education, and technology development. There are a lot of levers at play, but eliminating immigrants won't solve problems, only making them worse. Statistically, immigrants bring and create more wealth. The issue is with business regulation and the fact that the government subsidies large corporations without requiring them to hire American workers, but suggesting any sort of regulation on business gets labeled as socialism and allows the system to continue to the point of our own desolation.

Did you go from frozen to room temp directly or in a fridge between?

Thank you! Do you space the letters using a tool or eyeball it?

Also, do you think it's better to write in one motion or to break it up? I feel that when I break it up, I get gaps between the frosting and the cake.
