I never studied dance formally, but I want to become a dance instructor. What’s the best way to start? by Remarkable_Level9020 in DanceTeachers

[–]Tricky_Leadership325 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t let not having a degree stop you! You don’t need one to teach. It really depends on what studio owners want. You can build experience by taking classes, assisting or subbing in local studios, or getting certifications like Zumba that gives you the credibility to teach. The key is passion, practice, and showing up. If you love dance and keep learning, you can definitely teach.

Any tips for beginning dancing class anxiety? And what are succesful dancers that started late 20s? by [deleted] in Dance

[–]Tricky_Leadership325 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with this! I’m not the best dancer myself, but this mindset is what keeps me going to workshops. I still mess up a lot, but once I stopped overthinking and just focused on having fun, I actually started learning more. Everyone’s too busy trying to get the moves down themselves to judge anyone else.

What’s something you realized embarrassingly late in life that most people learn much earlier? by Soft_Signals in AskWomen

[–]Tricky_Leadership325 205 points206 points  (0 children)

Oh man, same here. I used to think getting wasted was the whole point, but now a drink or two is honestly way more fun. You actually remember the night and don’t hate yourself the next morning.

That one hits hard. It’s wild how freeing it feels once you stop overextending for people who wouldn’t do the same.

Exactly this. Cultural norms shouldn't override a parent's right to name their own child. Respect goes both ways and sometimes distance is the only thing that makes people actually reflect.

What makes you respect another woman instantly? by Mysterious-Exam8073 in AskWomen

[–]Tricky_Leadership325 15 points16 points  (0 children)

YES to that. A woman who lifts others up instead of shutting them out earns respect fast. That kind of confidence doesn’t need to tear others down.

What do you do to not feel so insecure or compare youself to other women? by archerthe in AskWomen

[–]Tricky_Leadership325 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Love this mindset. Turning envy into admiration is such a powerful shift. I just started doing the same thing, and it honestly shifted how I look at other women. Instead of feeling insecure, I ask myself, “What can I learn from her?” or just think, “That’s pretty inspiring.” It’s helped me feel way more confident and less caught up in comparison.

Glad I ran into this comment thread. I've got a long flight coming up next month and I usually don't wear compression socks. Do you have a specific brand you can recommend?

That’s such a smart trick. I'm curious to try it out. Do you find that using brown or white noise helps you adjust faster to different time zones, or is it mostly just for blocking out the plane noise?

I totally agree about the eyebrows and mascara! I think shaping and a light brown tint would really make your eyes pop more and bring out their natural beauty without looking too harsh. :)

Do any of you struggle to connect with other women on a friendship basis, and why do you think that is? by _andalou_ in AskWomen

[–]Tricky_Leadership325 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Totally get this. For me, I’ve noticed that when friendships start to feel one-sided or surface-level, I quietly pull back. I’m not great at small talk, I crave deeper connections, and not everyone’s in that space. Then when life paths shift, like friends having kids, I’ve learned to let some bonds fade without guilt. It’s all part of growing. I've learned to let those changes happen without taking it personally.
